  1. I only have one, but it is packed, especially now after Christmas. I am considering getting one of those worm bag to hold all my soft plastics, that will free up a bunch of space for more boxes with hard baits.
  2. For me this coming year, one of the main things will be shallow cranks, really shallow cranks(square bills), less than five feet mostly. Additionally I will work on regaining my confidence in jigs and texas rigged worms. Going to try some bigger 10" worms this year too.
  3. My wife a nice jacket and a day at the spa. That was the main stuff anyway, she got a bunch of other stuff too from me and my nephews.
  4. Well I made out pretty good. My wife got me a Daiwa Viento and a Powell Max rod. The Daiwa went on my flippin stick and the rod paired with a Revo S-L. My wifes step dad got me an Abu C4(this thing casts a Bandit 300 a mile in front of my house) which I paired with a 7' custom rod I made on an Allstar blank, this will be my deep crankin rod. My nephews got me a new set of ratchet straps to tie my boat down. Not to mention the $200 Cabelas gift cards I got from my company Christmas party. It was an awesome Christmas this year...best part is, my brother in law will be home from Afghanistan by the end of the week! Cliff P.S. Nothing quite like seeing those boys' faces when they saw what Santa brought!!
  5. Can't find the little deal for my phone but here is what I got from flippin and pitchin. 2 Bomber cranks 1 Luhr Jensen Speed Trap 1 Lunker City spinnerbait 1 Booyah Bogee bait Plus a Lamiglas hoodie, Lamiglas T-shirt, and Lamiglas visor!! Good stuff. Thanks Doug! Cliff
  6. Merry Christmas to you and yours as well Glann! And the same to everyone here on BR and their families. Hope y'all have tight lines in the new year! Cliff

  9. The last week before playoffs I ended with 5 injuries, five of my best guys too. I got crushed in the first round. I was happy though, I made it that far, first time playing!

Funny this topic came up. My wife is at Cavenders as I type returning the boots I just bought about two hours ago. I have been wearing Georgia boots for years now. They don't make the ones I like anymore so II got a pair od Ariats, steel toe, pull one western style. Worn them around the house for an hour and said forgetr this! The right boot was super tight, hurt my foot bad. I have heard nothing but good things about Wolverine boots so I am going to go with them I think, and lace ups, not pull ons.

Generally deep, rocky areas....I know the perfect spot! Gonna give it a shot day after Christmas.
  12. I noticed TW didn't have the T1's but they did have some other types. My local Academy still has them, I hope they aren't going out, their T1 in Chart/White was a top producer for me this season.

I have heard about these things and today I got two Buckeye Mop Jigs, my first two actually. My first impressions are man this thing is freakin huge!! I put a full length Gene Larew Craw on it just to see how it looks....it looks HUGE! Anyway, I am looking for any tips on how, when, and where to fish these jigs. Is it pretty much like any other jig? Do they work better under any certain conditions/time of year? Do you work it like any other jig? Flippin and pitchin? Any help is much appreciated! Cliff
  14. My wife ordered it for me, should be here tomorrow. My new Daiwa Viento will go on my flippin stick and the Powell will get a Revo S-L.
  15. Chart/White Terminator T1 Spinnerbait (this was top producer for size as well) Bandit 200 Pearl w/Chart Back. T-rigged Rage Craw, Green Pumpkin or jig and Rage Craw (biggest fish this year, and ever for me, was the one in my avatar, T-rigged Rage Craw)
  16. Hey LBH, I was kinda wondering what had happened to you as well. Glad to hear you got things all fixed up. Have fun on those bumps, I was a snowboarder for many years, but never braved those things!
  17. My folks always had a log with four candles in it. Each night in the days before Christmas we would light them and let them burn for a bit. On Christmas eve we let them burn all the way down. My dad gave me one a few years back so I can do the same. On Christmas morning we were allowed to see what we got in our stockings, and any unwrapped gifts Santa brought. But nothing else until after we ate breakfast AND cleaned up all the dishes and such. It was torture!! Then we could get into the rest of the gifts. Now living on my own we have incorporated a few of my wifes families traditions into the mix. Opening one small gift on Christmas Eve is one of them. Also having an angel as a tree topper is another, my family always had a star. Some of my best childhood memories involve Christmas traditions.
  18. Take your Christmas money you are saving for a new combo and buy him a nice spinning rig instead.
  19. I just got mine from TW the other day. I haven't fished with it yet, but I did use my brothers over the summer. I like it, it is nice and smooth and casts great. As for the twitchin bar, I don't really know as I did not use his reel enough to say weather I like it or not. It did not seem to be in the way or anything like that. For the great price from TW I would by it. If you don't use the twitchin bar oh well, still have a great reel.
  20. I wish I could agree, but for many weeks now I haven't got a bite on anything but a moving bait, mainly spinnerbait and crankbait.

  23. New Balance for me. I have had several pairs and they all have held up well and very comfortable. I am really rough on my footwear and my current pair, even with a mesh type material instead of leather, is holding up great (besides one small hole from a crankbait that got stuck in it). They are pricey though, I don't think I have ever paid less than $70 for mine. But if I can get a couple years out of them then it is worth it. This is the pair I have currently. http://www.academy.com/index.php?page=content&target=products/footwear/mens/running&start=50&zoom=1&selectedSKU=0502-02020-0741
  24. I don't know about these reeels, but I do know you can get a Daiwa Viento for under $100 at *** right now!!
