Susky River Rat

The day didn’t go as planned. I had lots of set backs and didn’t end up going to prefish for a tournament but, I did get some birthday smallies in. Here are a few from today.

I am usually 3/16 or heavier fishing current. Even if it’s less than 5ft

@Dogface I guess I do not proof read lol. I have caught bass while trolling for musky.

There’s a huge different between throwing a line out going to the next spot and trolling a 3-6 rod spread not getting it tangled and know exactly where to put each bait.

I have never trolled for bass. I haven’t caught bass trolling for musky at 5mph. To troll right takes different gear rod holders etc. just not something I’m willing to do for bass.

@gim i do not like how in bass boats you sit down and in. I didn’t like it about my tracker. One of the main reasons I wanted to switch to the boat I have now is visibility.

I can’t say I have any opinion on hook brands just hook types for my needs.

One of the biggest issues I see is enforcement. Fines only happen after an accident happens. Anytime I have ever been checked it’s just lifejackets, horn, fire ext, fishing license, etc. maybe it’s just my area and this does get done.

Here’s my fishing buddy. Never argues, never says it’s to early to leave, takes naps. Will yell at anyone who gets to close.

I had my wife try to go on. I thought I was shunned.

Sounds like a good day man. I run two go pros and just change batteries. Annoying at times

Don’t neglect things. Bite the bullet to fix what needs fixed when it needs fixed. After that put your life jacket on and hammer down. Don’t worry about what is out of your control. If something will fail it can happen brand new or freshly rebuilt too.

I always lose jigs. That’s the name of the game with them.

Been crazy weather here. 50 and drizzle than the next day 82 back to 50 and rain. Been very hard to get on anything. Unless you’re dropping it on their head
