yeah me and my uncle used to launch out of that ramp in the north end of canaveral seashore. Its still a good cruise south till you get to the open lagoon, and even longer to any good spots. Best lure early in the morning, if you can cast well, doa cal 4 inch jerkbait weightless in either chartreuse or white. Skitter it slow right on the top water and make it move good. Nothing rejects it.

i like the trailer that comes with the booyah swim jig. it's basically the same thing as the zoom split tail, just a little bit longer. go with the zoom

they just inhale those baitfish. It's weird how fish are not very skiddish around scuba divers.

typically its grass carp, not common carp, that are sterile. This is because the department of fish and wildlife puts grass carp in a body of water for weed control. Don't ever kill a grass carp because they are there for a purpose, and you are just killing the money you spent on your fishing liscense. Common carp are ok to kill though.

Gar are slow, have poor eyesight, and are natural. A lot of my people I know claim they kill bass fingerlings, but I doubt it because of how slow they are. I'm sure the bass in that lake are up to their typical patterns, regardless of the large gar population. I also think this because i used to regularly fish a lot of lakes in your area, and probably all the one you have fished! lol. I'm guessing this lake you speak of is Lake Berry in Windsong, which was actually part of the Winter Park chain at one time.
