  1. Popov and Steel Reserve High Gravity need a Surgeon General's warning that says "For the Homeless Only."
  2. wow, talk about a turn-out! my mom is a breast cancer survivor. looked like a great event!
  3. Who else agrees that there must be something else in Popov that turns any grown man who can hold his liquor into a nonsense-stuttering hobo? After my freshman year in college, Popov and Sailor Jerry will (hopefully) never be purchased again lol.
  4. keep trying, there are pigs in turkey lake
  5. Wow, you are an amateur fisherman. Realism is crucial in lakes with a lot of pressure. And, before you tell me that you don't fish pressured lakes, I will tell you that you could never compete in a tournament then, because they are typically at pressured lakes. And before you tell me you don't care about tournaments, I will tell you that it is my goal, and many other anglers goals, to get to that level. And unfortunately, you will never catch a trophy bass, because they tend to be a little picky. Maybe because they are old and have been caught on several occasions before, and don't go after anything unnatural anymore. But, I am glad you are on this forum, because you have a lot to learn, and there is plenty of information on this site. : (I think this "smiley" is appropriate at this time.)
  6. I was on ichiban tackle, and every time I go on it now, my system detects malware. someone needs to let ichibantackle.com know
  7. well its settled. im getting a bag or two of buzztails.
  8. i need me a jug of moonshine like that
  9. That is so true. It's also a waste of their money to do it. I can understand if its late and you look up the tracking...
  10. badass truck. glad you took the ford logo off.
  11. I bought my ps3 specifically for MGS4
  12. could have been koi
  13. I like their maps.
  14. I use the 10' often. Grape. The bass don't let go of 'em, probably due to how soft they are.
  15. That was a very good thing to do. your a smart man!
  16. nope. i used to lip hook 'em but i found they either got lazy or outright died too quickly that way. now i hook 'em through the meat just ahead of the tail. (a) they will not tire nearly as quickly. ( they will not usually go as deep or to the bottom where they can hide in something. © i can feel much better what the gill is doing down there because every beat of the tail is transmitted to me. (d) there is just something about this presentation that bass seem to like a little better. but definitely play around with it. you will find that baits will act differently when you hook them different ways. i think this has to do with where the weight of the hook is. for example, tail hooked gills seem to try to swim upward. lip hooked gills seem to try to swim downward. use this to your best advantage with the conditions you are facing. some people hook their baits in the back, or behind the bottom fin. i have found that with these 2 ways, the hook will occasionally rotate and hook back into the the bait instead of hooking the bass. so i don't use these methods very often. hope this helps and good luck with it. yeah and the hook is less likely swallowed, and a nicer set when hooked through the meat. You the man HAWGCALLER!!!
  17. yeah I always go home more relaxed
  18. ya'll mu#$er fu&%ers need to share the secret.. not a producto worm 10 inch is it?
  19. amen. hallelujah.
  20. Wha?!?! Bluegill are definitely different than red-ear sunfish, or green sunfish for that matter....or pumpkinseeds, or redbreast sunfish. btw, that is a nice bass, dude. Burke is a tough lake. I wonder why those fish were so close to the boat launch. I can't remember seeing any sort of structure or cover near there that would hold fish. But then again, I haven't fished there in probably two or three years... educated man
  21. Skeptic or not, its well known and well documented through peer reviewed research that the smaller members of the sunfish family readily hybridize with each. For that matter, all closely related members of the sunfish family will hybridize with each. yeah but don't bullsh#&t with me, that is very rare. Unless your lake is "the SHIRE" my man. They don't seek each other out to breed. Thats a fact. I will leave the weirdos to you.
  22. good god that is a freshwater monster
  23. No, because I always look fresh and clean.
  24. I was on my walk back to my apartment tonight and a police officer asked me what I've been catching, how I've been doing ect. He was a very educated bass fisherman... told me about how his most productive lure in the canals was a pumpkinseed senko with a chartreuse tail. And, yes, I asked him if he ever fished the LC Pointer and he said it was his favorite search bait... Favorite color American Shad... I had to say my favorite which is ghost minnow. All in all, great guy, really informed in bass fishing... I am so glad we have good honest guys like him protecting us. God bless america. Great experience.
