No, not the same. They are two different species which means they do not cross breed. If you have found a crossbreed of a redear and a bluegill you might want to send it to your fishing commision. That would be one in a million shot.

On the "River Monsters" episode with alligator gar, at the end he goes snorkeling to look at the gar, and I think I saw a TOAD in the background when he first gets in. Wonder where that was?
