Ok this is the design of the hinge, its a poor design to say the least. The part I drew is attached to the front half of the lure. The back half just loosely fits to it for flexibility. That hinge is made of weak plastic. So weak that the top nub broke off. That plastic on the hinge is weaker than, let's say a rapala crankbait lip. I don't think the plastic on the hinge is fortified at all.

Yeah that was me, I had one probably 4 or more months ago that drew a nice hit, the hook was set and I fought the fish for about 5 seconds, then I felt her come off. When I reeled in I only had half the lure. Man I have really turned a lot of people away from the king shad around me, but maybe they have changed them by now.

Sometimes it's good to come home smelling like fish... ;D hahaha

Just bought one this morning and tossed it in the pool for a little while. Wow, I am really impressed with the action of this lure. I can't wait to go use it. Anybody throw the Optimum AC plug? Let me know how it has been for you.

I have never used the baby sunfish but if it casts anything like the baby crappie, you will be hating life. I have one of the baby crappies and it just glides off any direction it choses when casting. Plus the action leaves much to be desired. Thats awesome. I recently bought one with saltwater hooks and plan to fish it inshore as soon as I can.

95% of the time I fish it in ponds, but a couple times I have ventured into the big lake with it. I had the best luck fishing docks, casting onto the shore and dragging it into the water quietly and right below the surface. Also, I learned on this site to lube the lure down with an oil based fish attractant (like Megastrike) for better hooksets. I fished it all through Winter, and I imagine it will produce even better soon. As for the rate of fall, I'm not sure, but I would guess somewhere around 1.25 feet a second. Here is a picture of the first bass I ever caught on it in my pond.

My worm or senko color in clear water is always watermelon red flake.

Actually Matt's bluegill is a good price. It's really not that expensive for a great swimbait. The 3:16 mission fish is like 12 bucks plus hardware so that might save you a little money.

I did a thread a while back on it and showed 2 side by side and such, but I'm starting to like it even more. Lately I've been using the real skin a lot and been doing great. I think the main thing is the spotted squid pattern over the american shad looks so different, it may catch more bass. They love to slam it on a pretty long pause. But it also may just be the red hooks, or the angler, one can't be sure.

I like any style roboworm as long as it's the midnight color.

Vision 110s and pointer 100s are so different it is ridiculous, but my go to bait that I KILL IT on is the pointer 78

My favorite bass shows are when the florida fishings shows feature largemouth. Its funny how they use hot inshore lures for bass and not the best producing lures that you and I know are the most productive. I wouldn't typically throw a chartreuse skitterwalk to bass. I liked last years Chevy Florida Fishing Report with bass as the theme species. A Day on the Lake is my favorite bass only fishing show.
