  1. x2 i love ribbits, they are the only frog/toads that i have found to work on my pond p.s. i do not like spro bronzeeye frogs, we have tried them and they never caught one fish and werent to weedless x3
  2. I like the LC Real California, but I hated my strike king King Shad. It's hinges broke and the lure split in half on the first fish I caught with it. I reeled in half the lure. I have never owned a King Kong, but if it has the same hinges, I wouldn't go near it.
  3. Haha but the picture makes it look bigger than the >1 pounder it is!
  4. That's an Evergreen Sledge Escarda. It has a really wide wobble, almost like a darting. It looks a lot like when you see a school of baitfish and one rolls on its side and you see that flash from its reflection. It is also suspending, which kicks the crap out of a Megabass Flap Slap (its action is also totally different than the Escarda, but they are a similar shape) I had fun fishing it in one of the golf course ponds, only problem was that I only caught little suckers!
  5. I sold Ichiban Tackle out of their pro blue crack 5/8 ounce b custom spinnerbait. I actually threw it in the pond today and caught one 2-3 lber? I like throwing this lure into eel grass and ripping it out. It runs true and is unique to pressured bass, like the ones on my golf course ponds. The Japanese lures can not be beat. Hard baits are awesome, and even thier spinnerbaits are fantastic. The only thing that America has got 'em beat is soft plastics!
  6. Since you're from up north, try catching bluefish with those. Don't guys up north who fish artificial for bluefish use those little mass produced swimbaits all the time?
  7. What is FHU? is that a real college? ha ha
  8. Is that redfish magic you're using?
  9. What did I just watch? and what was that weird noise?
  10. keep trying man! The rattletrap was the first lure I ever used, and it took me a while until I finally caught a fish on one.
  11. x2 and one called "I'll save it for the saltwater"
  12. This thread isn't about plastics!!!
  13. ok so because either you cant afford them or you wont spend the money for them ,they are overrated. Comments like yours flat out tell me that you dont know your backside from a hole in the ground.Im not saying luckycraft is the end all be all ,im just saying they are no way over rated. It amazes me how every once in a while we get someone who post something negative about something without ever fishing it before whether it be rods reels or lures. So in the future if you havent fished bait X dont run your mouth off about bait X cause your the only one who looks stupid in doing so have a nice day X2 But even with the people I fish with, a few are just this way. They seem to not understand how much better a lure like a luckycraft really is. If you understand hardbait fishing, you know that there are a lot of benefits of fishing a lure like a luckycraft, unless you've never tried one.
  14. Thats a better picture. Somebody told me that when they first moved here in the 70's they had already wiped out all the caimen. Because before that they were breeding them here?
  15. Dude, who you kidding? That's a gator. Caiman my a@% bro
  16. x2 I always avoid the bargin bin stuff, and there is a middle point with a lot of brands which are on the high side a little but nothing drastic.7-8-12 dollars, nothing wrong with that. You can have quality and quanity. About the bargain bins, I was at Bass Pro and bought a pfluger jerkbait out of a bargain bin, several months ago. That lure is pretty much where I thought of all the negative attributes of cheap crap lures. The hooks pulled strait, paint chipped off, and everything else. But yes, indeed there are middle of the rang lures that are quality. The first that come to mind are Rapala and Spro But again, I stick with my luckycraft, megabass, and other lures that are perfect.
  17. LBH I WAS WAITING FOR YOU!!! You are right, there are some quality hard baits that are realistically priced, and A TON of fantastic soft baits that are reasonably priced.
  18. I just posted this today on that BPS sale thread, but I want to see what more people think. Would you rather pay anywhere between 10-30 bucks for a lure that is perfect running, strong&sharp hooks, durable finish, good colors, unique to pressured bass, strong lip that won't break if slapping weeds off, or anything else. Also spending that kind of money on a lure you are looking for, that is perfect for the application that you need it for, practical for the bodies of water you fish, and is going to be useful quite often? OR Would you rather buy a cheaper lure that you're pretty sure the stock hooks are going to pull strait on a decent bass, the action probably won't be as good, it might not run true out of the box, the finish may chip off easily, the lip might be a little fragile, ect. Also it may have been a nice lure in the sale bin at a big store, but it is a weird color you typically don't use, you probably won't find too many times to tie it on, may not be practical for the bodies of water you fish, and so on. I am 100% a person who will spend money for a better lure.
  19. No man I don't have that one yet, but I have 2 deps spinnerbaits that are awesome. One weighs an ounce and I think it is perfect for ripping out of hydrilla.
  20. I would rather pay 20 bucks for a lure that is perfect running, durable finish, good colors, unique to pressured bass, strong lip that won't break if I feel like slapping weeds off, or whatever else I want/need for a particular application, body of water, or anything else. I would be mad if I wasted 5 dollars on that cheap junk and they gave me some ridiculous bubblegum or chartreuse color lure that has an ugly action, with hooks that will pull strait on a two pounder. Nothing like that would be of any use to me. It's a bad deal.

I recently started using snaps often, and if anything they add to the action of the lure by allowing free movement.
  22. I'm getting an Evergreen Sledge Escarda either today or next week. I don't know If you have one, but I figure it will be a lot better than the flap slap because it suspends. What do you think?
  23. Aww you bought the little tiny ones! well If I were you I would buy some gamakatsu weighted superline EWG hooks in whatever weight you find suitable for what you are doing. By the way, welcome to the forums!
  24. T-rig you should buy it and try it out, it's pretty cheap
