It’s extremely stable. The bottom is two molded pontoons. I also duck hunt out of it. I’ve been out in some pretty heinous weather and never once worried about it going over. Hell I stand up in it most of the time fishing.

What about one of these? Mine weights 100 lbs empty.

I woke up to to an email from Alex. I told him what I was looking for. His recommendation was either the Toadface or the BMJ.

We’re looking great here in Southern Oregon too. A good wet snowpack that’s nearly 160% over normal. It should need a great fishing year.

It’s my favorite knot. I use it and the Lefty Kreh knot 99% of the time.

I’ve never tried it but one of the old boys I know has used it forever. He loves it.

I use a 735 Dobyns Fury for my frog rod. I was hoping to use it for jigs too but the sensitivity just isn't there, for me anyways. But it's a great dedicated frog rod. I have a Loomis PR844 for cranks & topwater.

Those of you who have one would you mind giving me your opinion on them? What other rod out there would you compare them to?

I use an old Loomis GL2 PR844c for crank’s and topwater (not frogs). 10 or 12lb Suffix mono has never given me any problems.

Just to edit, I have a 853c. Not a 844c.

Please tell us how it compares. My only Kistler is also one the NFC blank models.

I already have the 843c. When I said next in the lineup I meant what I already have.

I did, they recommended the 4 power for what I'm needing it for. I'm still interested in hearing from the guys that have the 4.5. I may end up just buying both of them.

Right now I use a Helium 7’ 3” LMH for weightless plastics. Next in line is a IMX-PRO 843c. @txchaser brought up the Helium HMH in another thread. I’m pretty intrigued by this one for a heavier worm/jig/deeper water rod. Who all has one? And what length did you go with? I almost never fish from the bank so I’m leaning towards the 7’6”. Any input from you guys?

I could for sure find a use for that one too. I'm also looking at Edge rods & the Megabass Levante Braillist.

Thanks man. That’s pretty much what I use the LMH for is Senkos and light T rigged worms. It’s a pretty sweet rod. I just found a couple of reels I forgot I bought a while back so… New rod time. I’ll most likely pick up a MH Helium while the sale is on.

From October to the end of January I’m done. That’s waterfowl season and my first love when it comes to the outdoors. I start bass fishing and playing golf in April.

I picked up a 7'3" L/MH when they were clearing out the NFC blank rods at the end of '21. Does anyone here know how much difference there is between the L/MH & MH?

I do with a 3000. I mostly use it at night so I don't backlash my BC's.

That medium they have is tempting. I don't think I have a 7'3" medium casting rod.

I keep one of these in each of my bags. The ceramic rod has a hook groove in it. WORK SHARP
