They did the same with dobyns, Shimano and g Loomis on fathers day. All were 20% off with no code just prices adjusted on the website, never sent out emails or posted anything on the site. I picked up a champ xp and slx mgl a, checked the site the next day and all prices were back to normal. I've received the reel, still waiting on dobyns to drop ship the rod alf said they have been super slow since the company was sold.

Not seeing it advertised anywhere but Dobyns is all 20% off at ALF again. Edit: ALF seems to be running a number of stealth sales at the moment. All Shimano is discounted, I'm sure there are others but I'm not poking too deep. discount exprides shows as an example. I just picked up the new SLX 70 MGL for $119.

Budgestish Spinning Rod (SLX vs Fury?)
handle them both if possible, I don't think either is uncomfortable but at least in my hands the fury is better, I much prefer the fatter cork grip to the skinny Shimano EVA. Also from a pure vanity point I don't like the fake carbon fiber sticker Shimano is putting on the slx-a reel lock nuts

6" dingers on sale at dicks for $2.99 a pack, took some digging in the discount bin to find these. Cashier only rang up 8/9 so I got $2.99 off my frozen squid.

I've only had one problem line order from them, recently ordered a spool of 25lb big game mono and received a spool of the new 65lb big game braid. They told me to just keep the braid for free when I requested a replacement, so hey free braid.

Just a heads up Amazon typically sells Tatsu far below MSRP. Currently a 200 yard spool of 12lb is $33.21 on Prime vs Omnia sale price of $36.39. Still expensive line but not the usual $50+ per spool.

TW sales
I do miss the stealth discounts on restricted brands, but their sales are still decent and being in CA anything in stock is delivered overnight so they still get my business.

the hookup just ran a similar blowout on the SV Tatulas. New model incoming possibly? Seems like Daiwa wouldn't allow an advertised sale like this unless they were end of life.

Metanium Questions
I have the USDM 150 and JDM 100, both spooled at the moment unfortunately so I can't take calipers to them, but I'm 90% certain the spools are identical.

Why is the Bill Lewis ATV 1.5 listed as 3/8 oz some sites & 1/2 oz on others?
Ordered from the same listing you posted, if I click it it says previously ordered. Amazon is crap for details and who knows who is actually running any major brands landing page. I always just double check the actual product model number in the details, sometimes Amazon doesn't even list colors correctly.

Daiwa baitcasting reel advice needed
SV = stress free versatile in Daiwa marketing speak. Basically SV spools are slightly shallower and have a much lighter brake inductor spring and I believe some difference in the inductor ramp so the brake activates with less inertia and stays active longer through the cast. They're not compelling distance casters but they are very user friendly. Great for short to mid range precision casting, skipping, etc.

St Croix Victory vs LTB
I don't think St Croix offers a lifetime warranty anymore. All of the legend rods are 15 year now.
