depends on where you are...time & place...can assure you here in the great state of Mississippi out on the farm ponds and state fishing lakes and other remote areas the t-rigged plastic worm is alive and well... good fishing...
  4. This is it...will stick with the original berkley power bait worm...readily available here thru Academy 4.49 13 pk....red shad... each to his own and good fishing...
  5. lookin' forward to your review... good fishing...
  6. own the shakespeare agility casting rod 6'6" med. fast 1/8 - 5/8 line 8-17 composite use for spinnerbaits & cranks and t-rigged wormin' that is sensitive... not my best rod...but ain't bad for 10.49 normally 29.99...got it on clearance... good fishing...
  7. caught a lot of bass on the green pumpkin trick worm...not as much as colors june bug and watermelon/red flake...pumpkinseed and black very little... good fishing...
  8. agreed... don't know why Academy sometimes gets a bad rap...the one I go to has spinning & baitcasters 200 dollars and up for the discriminating buyer down to 50 bucks for the H20 Xpress Mettle baitcaster for the man on a budget... and all the other fishing gear... good fishing...
  9. Big Game, Cajun Red, Academy H20 and Sufix Siege 12# on baitcasters -- 6, 8 & 10 on spinning...14# Fireline on spinning... good fishing...
  10. like to use tungsten around riprap and cover with a smaller profile...not 100% but a lot of use...recently bought 1/32 - 1/4 oz. from siebert outdoors on this site...excellent quality green pumpkin and black weights that are highly resistant to chipping...excellent sensitivity...will order again... good fishing...
  11. Use rebel critters and beetle spns with 4 and 6 # test...with shimano sienna spinning 1000...with shakespeare 5'6' light rod...in desoto national park and small creeks...small fish...2 & 3 pound bass are monsters and rare...each to his own...
  12. 70 percent of my fishing for bass is with a baitcaster...25 percent spinning when using 6&8# test...5 percent spincast... that being said, the older I get the more spinning...and more in the future... good fishing...
  13. use the 4# test on my ultra light setups... works OK... good fishing...
  14. https://fw.ky.gov/Fish/Pages/Asian-Carp-Information.aspx They have a big big challenge...hope they win...Charlie Brewer is turning over in his grave...
  15. have read, not fished, that bass fishing in the potomac not what it used to be...maybe the snakehead...maybe not...me...want nothing to do with the sh or carp...respectfully... good fishing
  16. believe the same scenario for the snakehead in Arkansas...my state MDWFP is really worried about 'em... the carp is loved in japan...the lmb is seen as a trash fish and many want it eradicated...go figure...
  17. Alligator Gar...sic 'em...
  18. Hook a big fish using an Ugly Stik and that fish is at your mercy...seen it up close... good fishing...
  19. Both are good...Shakespeare gets a bad rap...I live in an area where saltwater fishing is king...go to the piers...expensive boats and the Ugly Stik is there in large numbers...to catch BIG FISH... The Elite is the NEW version with GRAPHITE and much more sensitive...fish with a friend who loves it and catches bass with it... I own a Shakespeare Agility casting rod that's a composite I picked up from Shakespeare's clearance for 10.49...love it for spinnerbaits and cranks....works well for wormin' and is 6'6" med. fast 1/8 - 5/8... don't worry about rod snobs... good fishing...
