Had bad case of trigger finger in both hands....60 plus yrs. old...doc said best thing to do stop fishing for a while and let the hands rest with some exercise with a stress ball and the like...worked... Now, don't sling the cast anymore -- now with a relaxed motion not attempting to throw it a mile when fan casting...too...find myself using spinning gear more...work mostly plastics...spinnerbaits not near as much...spincast will also see more use in the future...works for me good fishing... Here in the local area the independent saltwater tackle shops are doing OK...not the fresh...gone except on or very near the lakes and reservoirs in small towns...OK in those settings.... good fishing...

Some of the finest men I've met were/are LMB fishermen. Whether from a Bass fishing club or striking up a conversation in the fishing section of a BassPro or Academy. Benefits: a new friend and sometimes access to private lakes...and awesome fishing... good fishing...

Live on the MS. gulf coast. Storm's track was predicting it would be a direct hit on Long Beach, Biloxi area. Storm jogged to the East right before landfall and instead hit Alabama/Mississippi. Slept like a baby last night...high & dry... Katrina survivor...

When bank fishing with a worm from the bank bring it very near or on top of the water at a very very fast rate when reeling it in near the bank...pleasant surprise... good fishing...

Don't flip with spinning gear but do pitch...youtube has some decent videos for free about pitching with spinning... good fishing...

My UL fishing is mostly in small creeks accessible by foot. A 2 pound bass is a monster...use 5'6" light rod with 2 - 6 pound test...can handle lures down to 1/16 in weight...Shimano Sienna 1000 reel...spinning... Use Rebel Critters and Beetle Spins... Love to UL fish in the wild in God's country... good fishing...

I've had the good luck to fish fish only State lakes both less than 300 acres when they were first opened years ago. The catch rate was outstanding with chunky healthy bass. Fast forward a few years not so. Had to really work for them. State lake manager said our boys and girls are now educated -- plenty of bass in there. Now I know this is anecdotal and not scientific but have seen small waters like this in my recreational LMB fishing over the last 20 yrs. or so. good fishing...
