  1. Yea, well, the fish aren't the ones paying money lol.
  2. Well, the 200 is perfect for Stripers as well, so there's that. What i am saying is that 100 size can handle pretty much everything 150 can, so the 150 size has much less reason to exist when compared to the 200 size. If this was a new frame, a new NON UGLY color, 200 size with brass gears, this would be the most talked reel in 2026. Instead, this will be released, be well received cuz you know, it's a zillion so of course it will be good, but it won't be doing massive numbers sales wise, and i am not seeing it being popular either.
  3. Sure. You can always improve looks, and have completely skipped that department. And the Zillion is five years old, which is pretty old at this point. I would assume they'd improve the frame like they improved it with the 24 steez that was based on the zillion. Nothing was done, not even a different paint color. Its just another 36mm spool from daiwa, there's nothing impressive there.
  4. Everything you've mention there can be easily done on something like a zillion HD, steez A or a Bantam. Or could simply go to a 200 size, and handle 1-3oz swimbaits, and light duty musky/pike better.
  5. I know the steez tw has aluminum gears. The Steez A i believe has brass gears, don't remember for sure.
  6. I feel like this reel is pointless. The 100 size can do everything other than chunking baits over ~2.5oz. This one ain't gonna be hot for anything over 2.5oz either, so why is a 150 size needed? Should have released a 200 size so there's an option for a higher end Tatula 200. Daiwa new announcement is boring, and so are Shimanos.
  7. Never tried one myself, but what i've noticed is that there are no really good looking ones compare to what was in production half a decade plus ago.
  8. Why won't it work? It works perfectly fine on the plastic parts on daiwa SV spools, i see no reason why it wouldn't work here.
  9. Couple of drop of liquid superglue, and you wouldn't know a crack was even there.
  10. Indeed, and before that, i was NEVER ever suggesting anybody to bother with a Tatula. Only since 2024 that this series of reels became worthy in my book. I know that they were already popular prior to 2024, but all the older Tat generations were getting noisy and grindy so quickly that i just couldn't take any of them seriously.
  11. If we're talking about the new Tat 200, they're unbeatable at that size. Replace bushings by quality bearings, and it'll feel like a quality $350+ reel.
  12. It is the reel that made the SLX and the Curado completely irrelevant. And one of its strongest pros it has is how long lasting the smoothness/silence is.
  13. Well of course. If you use a spool, or a spinner, you will get some twisting. That's done with the lure, not the reel. Simply use a ball bearing, and you won't get any twisting while using a spoon.
  14. Replace your spinning gear with baitcasters made for casting light lures, and forget line twisting and wind knots. Did it over a decade ago, and forgot what's even line twisting😊
  15. The YGK Upgrade i bought late summer last year is finished by May this year. Started out great, but barely lasted any time that i am used to. The other braid like i got from YGK/Xbraid (don't remember the exact series) has been great so far, and have had no issues yet.
  16. Getting a backlash once in a while is not important, and i usually don't even pay attention to that, unless it's so bad that you need to cut your line, which hasn't happened to me in over 5 years. The issue is getting constant backlashes, and that's never the case. I mostly fish from the bank, so no trolling motor to step on lol. So yea, casting distance is extremely important, and one of the reason i don't even use SV spools.
  17. Some of you still have to see the lure to brake the spool with your thumb? Don't you feel the spool decelerating before hitting the water? I don't know if its just experience or what, but half the time i don't even pay attention to the lure hitting (unless casting around structure of course) the water, you can feel when its time to stop the spool with your thumb.
  18. I was gonna quote you asking you how the hell can you guarantee it casting further than everything else (have heard this exact sentence in the youtube comments glazing the new Abu DC's), and then i understood the situation😊
  19. I am such a non believer of technologies that rely on selling you the "thumb free casting" crap. It's also too bad that tackle advisors isn't posting new vids, he'd be the one to do a proper analysis of this reel.
  20. I believe you, and would have already tried it, but its too d**n expensive. Bought 2 different lines from Duel a couple of days ago, hoping they perform well.
  21. Only tried the standard j-braid in 8, 10 and 20#. Garbage. Extreme digging. Frays on random locations (especially on the 8 and 10lb), and you better cut the line, or that frayed portion will make you lose a lot of fish and lures. To me, the 832 is the gold standard for well over a decade. Desperate to find a braid that is thinner, slicker, doesn't fray easily, and lasts at least as long as the 832.
