  1. I watched this with a smile😊Hope you guys enjoy. And remember, the Tatula is OVER! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9UaV5YNP3cM
  2. There's no reason to use 2 braking blocks on if its still too low. Try 3, or even 4, but lower the braking on the braking dial. I've had something similar with the Aldebaran MGL 30.
  3. Absolutely worth it, i apply something similar to u40 on all my rods with cork handles.
  4. Alright thanks will order some spool bearings to see whats up.
  5. When it happens, its over, you have to replace. I don't know if its happening with newer rubber shimano is using, but i do know that it always happened with their older one from the 2000s and the 2010s. Same thing with Oakely sunglasses.
  6. Prices seem reasonable. How about the shipping, or they charging a lot?
  7. Btw anyone knows where the NMB bearings can be purchased for a good price? I saw them on Aliexpress, but they're most likely fake?
  8. Are we talking about spool bearings? I only remove the shields of spool bearings when they're crunchy, and in many cases, if they are, they're done, and will never be smooth. I did purchase multiple used reels in the past, and for whatever reason, the shielded spool bearings were full of grease, which i wasn't able to disolve in acetone, so i've removed the shields to properly clean them. As for all internal bearings, there's no reason to ever remove their shields.
  9. I wouldn't suggest you to go from Lews to Daiwa because you will feel really really really bad having wasted years of fishing using Lews. On a serious note, it's a no brainer. As i always mention, and others have already mentioned in this thread, the Zillion and the Zillion HD from Japan will open your eyes on what you've missed on, but the new Tats are awesome for the price, and you can't go wrong with them.
  10. It's as smooth/smoother, more comfy to palm (i am assuming you're talking about the 2016 steez tw and the steez a, which uses the same frame), looks like a reel that is much more expensive (important to me, but might not be to others), casts well, and pretty much has zero disadvantages. I can't even think of a single con other than the top plate being made out of plastic, which i would've preferred it being full metal, but that's just nitpicking, and is the case on all current zillions.
  11. I don't really understand this thread. You mention that it's a you problem, but what's the issue to begin with? All three have the same'ish performance. The Steez A will be the best of the three to handle baits for over 1oz. The Zillion is by far the best of the three for the price (purchased from Japan). If you're deciding between these three, i'd put them in a garbage bin and grab the Zillion HD instead. It's superior to a Steez, and is like ~$40 more expensive than a standard Zillion. The definition of a nobrainer, and the best bang per buck for a high end reel that you can purchase atm.
  12. And that's from Digitaka. From auction sites, you can get one for significantly less. This $700 price from TW is laughable. A price to "farm" the unaware.
  13. How is it that your bait monkey is searching on TW for a JDM reel? It needs to discover importing from Japan, or be very outdated in 2026🤢
  14. I personally never cared about DC, but always had a couple because of the sound they make. But i feel like the new Met DC is REALLY good. Excluding even how comfy they're to palm, the casting distance, when properly adjusted, is really really good. The spool feels so free, while not having any overruns. The first DC reel that i can safely say is worth owning.
  15. But THEREELTEST told me that Shimano obliterates everything from daiwa?!
  16. Not for me personally. I always fish at the VERY edge of backlashing. I want the spool to feel as free as humanly possible. Gotta constantly do small adjustments depending on lure change, wind, etc.
  17. Hope it helped. It's heavy, but this is not a reel you use on a short meduim stick for jerkbaits. Considering how massive the reel foot is (don't think i ever saw one this thick on a bass reel), it's pretty clear that they weren't paying much attention to the weight of the reel.
  18. The reception seems good, but did you buy one? Intend to get one in the near future? I need one in the 200 size for muksy, striper and swimbaiting bass, so until they get their ass together, and release a 200 size, i am not getting one.
  19. I now own 3 Deps250s and 7 Deps175. This doesn't mean i got them for MSRP lol.
  20. My guetto way has saved 3-4 spools over the years. Take your nail cutting scissors. The handle part needs to be round. Put the spool flat on a hard surface that won't scratch it (plastic, wood, etc). The bent section needs to be the portion of the spool that is on the hard surface. Then, simply do passes (up and down, up and down) with the round side of the handle of your scissors on the section that's bent, and you don't even need to apply much force either. It unbends the edge equally, and the spool is saved.
  21. For reels it's whatever the Zillion currently worth from Japan. For rods its whatever the Expride is worth in NA.
  22. Is it the cheap one you got from Japan?
  23. Slightly less 1998 looking.
  24. I came here to say that it's extremely annoying that TSI321 isn't available in Canada. What the hell.
  25. I predicted Daiwa to come out with a DC reel in 2026 now that the Shimano's patent on DC has expired, but it looks like Abu will release one first. Are you interested?
