Really? I have a hard time believing this unless you don't care about fishing that much, and are only doing it to waste time. Spots from the bank can be amazing, and not because of the quantity of fish you can catch, but the scenery.

Instead of grabbing those noname brands from Ali, i'd grab a quality Made in Japan reel in used condition. For $300 you can get a very good reel if you're purchasing from Japan. If you want to spend as little as possible, get the new Tatula 100. But if you're ordering from Japan, you can get a Zillion HD sub $300, and this is the best reel you can buy, it has it all.

Excluding lures, i got a really clean 2011 calcutta 100 DC, a NOS limited edition LIVRE handle from like 10 years ago, and cerakoted one reel that i still haven't assembled yet.

There are multiple 4pc rods that interest me in this lineup, especially the F9-711LV 4P Megalathan. Glad they're taking 4pc rods more seriously, they're so practical compared to the rest.

Have the 2011 Conquest DC in the 100 size. Owned the same reel in the 50 size, and can say the 50 size was noticeably comfier to palm.

Its crazy the amount of models they're launching. If this is indeed $200, this will be the most dominant line of rods on the market.

Not to be a party pooper, but i remember buying one of these cuz i was tired of using the og ryoga. After a single day of use, i sold the D. It felt so much worse at everything i was kinda surprised myself.

You can also remove the skirt, and replace it by a creature bait with a slim profile or a swimbait. Will cut through air way easier, and cast further.

You gotta take into account that i don't use any SV or SV boost spools, though. The main spool i use on my Zil is the SLP WORKS1010, with multiple Type R and R+ spools, the RCS1016, etc. So the performance i get from it is never stock.

Reel doesn't matter, buzzbaits aren't long casting lures. Just grab what's comfy to palm, that's all that matters. I use the 24 Met DC and the 21 Zillion for buzzbaits a bunch, and both are perfect at the job.

Kinda true, the T3 SV is probably the most noob friendly reel ever made. You get SV and 3D brakes all at once. The true birdsnestless reel.

Much smoother under load compared to the silver T3 and the standard black T3, but i also had it fully upgraded to 11 ball bearings. But i just did not like the frame on these reels at all. On the Viola, another thing that was messed up is that purchased it around now, like mid February years ago, and from just playing with the reel, waiting for late March to get on the water, from just spinning the handle like you'd with a new reel, the rubber sticker on the top of the hood peeled up within a month. Without even being on the water, the sticker just bubble up, and peeled. I don't understand what the hell is that design, and has anybody tested it before release? You can't just use such weak double sided tape to hold that black grip sticker, that's ridiculous. Really am not a fan of these plastic things. And forgot to mention, i had the T3 Air as well.

My fav big bass lure is an actual musky lure. The Bucher Topraider, and the Super Topraider. I don't know why these aren't popular with bass fisherman, these baits are amazing.

Personally thought the T3 line was garbage. I've had the silver T3, and the FX68 Viola from MB. The issue with the inductor was only with the T3 ballistic and basic black T3 from Japan, these two had the cheapest spools of all the T3 variants. Fix was pretty easy, though, superglue, or epoxy will do the job.

If they're $200, this will be the best looking rod made to date at this price. I know some said the MSRP isn't increasing, but i don't believe it. Expecting a $299-349 price.

Prefer the Met DC by a lot. But the Steez A can handle large/heavy baits, and you won't have issues with it, while the Met is yet another micro module reel. All n all, if its for hard/rough use, get the Steez A, it will be far superior to the Met DC, and if its for not so heavy use (jerkbaits for example), get the Met, it palms better, casts slightly better, and looks better.

If i use anything over a 100 size, it's always to cast heavy lures, most of the time reaching about 6.5oz. To me, the Z2020 is the uncontested king at it, and nothing is remotely close when it comes to the comfort, casting distance and the longevity.

This is THE brand i got into fishing with. In the very late 90s, and early 2000s, i thought they were good. Don't remember having any issues with their rods back then. Now i am seeing these kind of threads on reddit, and was wondering if the brand was pretty much killed by Purefishing like what they did to Pflueger, Abu, etc.

Depends where i am fishing, but i do like me grinding rocks with a red craw squarebill.

Get a 21 zillion and it will open your eyes on something real quick🙂
