  1. What size would you recommend for a 110 sized jerkbait?
  2. That’s my reason for wanting to switch
  3. I’m curious if anyone switches out all of their line tie split rings to oval shaped ones? Do you think there is any change to the action of crankbaits and especially jerkbaits when switching from a stock split ring to an oval split ring? Less action? More action? About the same? I’m considering buying some Owner oval split rings and putting them on lots of my crankbaits and jerkbaits.
  4. The hooks on the baits I got didn’t seem scary sharp. If I’m fortunate enough to hook into the fish of a lifetime I don’t want the hooks (or any of my gear) to be the issue.
  5. Curious how you think it would pair with a 3in crush city mayor? Is the dropper arm long enough to keep the blade from hitting the belly of the wide bait?
  6. @RRocket and @Mr. Aquarium What size swimbaits pair best with the 1/0 size? 2.8-3.3 keitechs? Would a 3.5in bait be too big?
  7. Any idea what size for the 1/2oz Vault?
  8. Looking for some replacement hooks for 1/2oz Damiki Vaults. Any recomendations?
  9. I know lots of people who film their days on the water. To those who record their fishing trips: Besides being able to watch back your catches and easily bet able to remember the bait, location, time of day, weather etc. what have you learned from running a camera on the water? Subtle things that you are were missing or doing wrong? Things that you were doing right and now are able to replicate? Personally, do you think the hassle/expense of buying a camera and filming yourself while fishing is worth it and makes you a better angler?
  10. This is my theory: I don't think its just red, and I don't think that its something to do with crawfish being that color or anything like that. I think that bold colors; chartreuse, pink (like from the bassmaster classic last spring) red, orange, etc work well because the fish haven't been pressured very much all winter (basically no pressure for ~6 months up here) and are ready to feed up to spawn. I think loud/flashy lures in bright colors work well because the fish can see them and chase them down easier. Just my $0.02.
  11. Maybe we can try to recreate Tom’s signature jigs with the help of @Siebert Outdoors
  12. I heard they went from a Gama to a VMC. Part of the reason they aren’t at the top of my list anymore.
  13. Do you superglue on the swimbaits? I’ve seen those but always wondered about the keeper.
  14. What’s your favorite Underspin jighead? Ive tried a few but none have jumped out at me yet. I’m looking for 1/2oz and a hook to pair with a 4.5-5.5 swimbait.
  15. Man the venom craw looks like money. I'll have to try those out.
  16. From my understanding their secondary and o-line have both been banged up pretty bad. But yeah definitely a disappointment just like us here in Minnesota.
  17. They look sweet but man, $30 for a 3 pack. I’ll see if I can find some on sale. What’s the action like on it? Is it pretty dead or do the tails move much on the fall?
  18. I definitely try to be stealthy but the biggest bass of my life by far was caught with the trolling motor on 7 right near the boat. The second biggest was a very similar situation.
  19. I’m looking for a craw or beaver style trailer that would match up to a 7/0 jig hook. Magnum rage bugs are on my list but I’m not quite sure if they’ll be big enough. Any other recommendations?
  20. Topwater would be a secondary use, single hooked moving baits and some jigs would be my main uses. I don’t mine a little longer rod for topwater though because casting distance is very important for me, and I could walk the bait with the rod to the side to avoid hitting the water. I’m also curious to try a longer rod with braid for bottom hopping lipless baits. Id like to have good sensitivity but also be able to keep fish hooked. I guess I’ll see how it goes.
  21. Good to hear. I’d probably run 30lb braid for topwater and bottom hopping lipless baits.
  22. Ive heard good things about this rod for single hooked moving baits but has anyone here tried throwing treble hooked baits on their Expride 7’6 MH/MF? I don’t mind fishing walking baits on a longer rod, so I’m curious how it would handle baits like a SB 105 to 125 sized topwater? What about lipless cranks?
  23. Sweet, that’s awesome to hear. What are your favorite things to throw on it?
