  1. When someone asks what defines you, answering God I would not consider a religious post. OP wants to get to know the fine people here. Answering God is not pushing religion on anyone, just simply answering the OP's question. Folks here should be adult enough to understand the difference. I mean, the word God is literally in every post you make.
  2. I have dedicated over half a lifetime to caring for people. It brings me a lot of joy and fulfillment in my career. I am a father of three and dedicate the other half of my life to putting as much energy into them as possible. I have been coaching youth baseball for most of my adulthood, and have been involved with the game since the age of 5. I am an avid outdoorsmen. I love all forms of hunting, I love to ride dirtbikes, I restore classic cars, have been into rock crawling and jeeps most of my life. I am an artist and have designed many tattoos for people over the years, among other things. I play guitar and do ok on the drums too. God, family, and the outdoors really defines me.
  3. Thank you. I actually sold the jdm met b last week so no longer have it to reference. I have just ordered three handle assemblies. Got two of the met B's, one for the 22 bantam and one for the curado bfs, and ordered one of the 18 bantam handle assemblies for the curado 71 mgl, and will try to figure out how to swap the bushings for bearings.
  4. $60 on their website. The met B handle assembly is $36. I appreciate the feedback, but not at all what I am after. I simply want 90mm shimano handle shanks with the larger shimano power knobs. Not interested in anything else.
  5. Because they are double the price, and those knobs are ridiculous. Not what I am looking for.
  6. @T2DM Is the handle shank color from the 22 bantam and the met b the same color or different? The met B handle assembly is actually $11 cheaper than the 22 bantam. I will just put the met B handle on my bantam if it will match the star drag, etc.
  7. I didn't know this was a thing. Count me in.
  8. I have had my own office at work for five years now, and never really did much to spruce it up. What do you all have sitting on your desk for fidgets? I only have a curado bfs sitting on mine. 😆
  9. I ordered one. Can't wait to show you all the world records I catch this year.
  10. Was that about 2012?
  11. @Swamp Girl lol yes it's a lot. The highway shoulders were so tall it felt like driving in a tunnel everywhere. The snow plows were actually giant snow blowers to get the snow up and over the shoulders.
  12. By Crater Lake, Or.
  13. That's pretty typical of where I grew up.
  14. Wait...I forgot about the entry fee...here is @A-Jay trying to open a water bottle at the game.
  15. Figuring out how to use a spinnerbait?
  16. My buddy Oscar makes these Talon rods. Gave me this one to try out. It's a 7 foot rod. Pretty dang light weight. Not full on nrx+ light, but very close. 0.3 oz heavier than the comparable nrx+ model. Has a nice tip, reminds me a lot of the loomis mag bass taper. Medium to medium/heavy power with a fast tip and a fairly mod flex on the top third going into a good solid backbone. The blanks are a carbon x weave, and are left raw. Gary Loomis' son Brad makes the blanks. Fuji micro guides all the way up except for the first guide being bigger. Fuji reel seat with exposed blank. There are different handle options, but this example has a ground cork/resin handle that is very tactile (surprisingly good). The cork grips are hand made by another guy that lives in Woodland, just can't remember his name. This rod is going to work well for almost everything. I put a bantam on it to put it through its paces. Negates the weight savings, but I do love me a bantam mgl. A Met B would be heaven on this rod. He's also got a nice spinning rod he makes that's 4 to 10lb rated line blank. I got to talking with him about the blank and it's potential. It's definitely light power. He's going to take that 7' blank for me and cut 2" off the butt, spiral wrap it to stiffen it up just a tad, and put on a casting handle for me to try out. Going to be his test subject for a light bfs style rod. Really can't wait to get my hands on that one. For reference, Oscar built rods for years at Lamiglas. He created the Lamiglas bass SI rods if any of you are familiar. These rods have the same SI build quality, but at a much cheaper price. And 100% made in USA (outside of obvious components). I am definately very impressed. And not because he gave me this rod. That is a 100% honest review. Bass models are currently limited. I think there are only 4 or 5 currently. But this is another great, yet little known option for anglers to consider.
  17. Lmb = 12.53 Smb = 8.75 We have a chance 😉
  18. That was today. One small rainbow.
  19. True, but I am a full believer that you definitely can go too light for bass. For example, my ultralight panfish rod would absolutely suck catching a bass over about a pound or so. That rod is a 5 foot ultralight. The rod in question still needs to be able to handle bass, not just throw light lures. I want to go as light as possible, but still be able to handle a larger fish.
  20. That was incredibly helpful. Thank you. 🤣
  21. Does anyone have personal experience with this specific rod that is willing to give a review? I cannot find any info on it with the exception of the TW reviewer. I am familiar with the build quality, etc of Cashion. I am just looking for feedback on this specific rod, most notably wondering if it is going to be too light for bfs. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Cashion_ICON_Exclusive_Series_Casting_Rods/descpage-CRTWE.html
  22. We finally have snow for the first time today.
  23. The majority of the heads I have are ewg shape Thank you, I will definitely try that.
