Has anyone using speed clips experienced knot chaffing and breakoffs, and is there a better clip for heavier baits like glides that doesn’t have this issue?
according to animated knots, the san diego jam knot does not have a loop that passes over the bait. I have no issues with Tactical wakes, Wad3s or other semi bulky baits and tying it.

With jerkbaits, do you typically want them hovering a fair distance above river smallmouth or right in their face?
i think boatside has a video of them throwing the Rapala "mantle" bait.

Expensive baits that are "worth" the $$$
huddleston swimbaits. they produce when other swimbaits don't.

What is the most expensive lure you've lost?
lost my last 2 clown hudd 68s today, which isn't my most expensive loss but still stings a bit.

New Tackle Bag
i have enjoyed my tw sling. I can keep 2 3600s and an assortment of swimbaits in clam shells in the main compartment, hooks, leaders and my fishing license go in the small zippered pocket inside of the "work station". it may sound silly, but the water bottle holder is a great feature. There is a small elastic band with a pull tab on it that you can use to secure the bottle in place when you are moving. I use a 1 liter "smart water" shaped water bottle and it is easy as heck to insert/extract from the holder. My only complaint is the interior is a little tight for getting 3600s in/out. I also understand that if they made it much larger people would be trying to shove 3700s in there.

Anyone else using mend-it to combat tackle costs?
i have mended a few nessies and cull shad with it. just like any other plastic i have used mend-it on giving it an overnight, open air cure seems to work best for keeping the mend-it smell to a minimum. The powerbait scent tends to bounce back fairly quickly.

Waterproof vs nonwaterproof tackle boxes
what is the "mesh bag"? is it tackle specific or is it something you have borrowed from another hobby and brought over to fishing?

Anyone else using mend-it to combat tackle costs?
having just cracked open a fresh bottle of mend-it, this is believable to me. i plan on "making my own" this winter to see if this ratio is correct

Storm Arashi glide durability
i owned 2 of them, caught a few fish and noticed that the bait was blowing out (wide left) even with minimal reel input. I tried tweaking the line tie and even messed with sanding the edges of the joints to see if i could get it back to any sort of S motion. No joy. for $50 the s-waver 200 was a better value for me.

icast 2025 spro swimbait reel
i was browsing some icast coverage videos on youtube, trying to find something entirely different and saw that spro was coming out with a dedicated swimbait reel. i an unable to find anything about it other than their icast blurb. anyone have any info?

Favorite lure to throw
I love walking baits, they are some of my favourite baits, but these days it is big wakes. something about hearing them going <clack, clack, clack> on the way back, and knowing that any cast could be a monster. every cast has me on my mental tippy toes

the Teckel Max Squeaker.
always thought that ri and teckel were working out of the same "playbook". the swamp donkey and the tekel frog were dang near identical, the kick knocker and the vixen, and then the dolphin and whatever buzz bait tekel had going 15 years ago. they all looked/worked so similarly.

Entry level swimbaits resembling crappie?
savage gear's 3d/4d line thru swimbaits have been pretty good to me for "cheap gill/crappie imitators". i just took advantage of the tw sale and grabbed a few more for next season as well. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Savage_Gear_Live_3D_Bluegill_Line_Thru_Swimbait/descpage-SGLBG.html

1-3 oz hard swimbaits
I would assume that TW has enough turnover/buying power to ensure they have the newer models, but I do not know for a fact that they have the "new" hangers. initially, breaking 2 in a row was frustrating for me but bucca brand made it right and the replacements have held up to a variety of bass, some pike and even a couple bowfin. I will be willing to buy and try the 8" trick and the 5" bull shad when they come out based on how the company has handled this issue.

1-3 oz hard swimbaits
from personal experience, they are replacing the lure with a newer model. The hangers look the same, but i was assured they are not going to break out. I had 2 of the very first run of them break, but the replacements have been stellar.

Swimbaits vs toothy critters
