Wife took me to bps for birthday
Well, that's a bit anticlimactic, lol.

We're Back Baby!
Can anyone find the setting to turn off the dark mode theme? ***EDIT*** Found it! Bottom left hand corner of the page.

Do you see it
Yes, I see it. You can't shoot an entire cartridge case and all!

Using Juvenile Bass to Catch Adult Bass
I've had the fortune of catching a bass that chased down a super dink I was reeling in. I've never seen a bass move so fast as this one did when its predatory instincts kicked in. That little flailing fish was simply irresistible.

Putting skirts on jigs while on the water
I don't mean to be a Debbie Downer, but in my opinion, you're overthinking the whole thing. Personally, I would spend more time fishing and less time changing skirts!

Who's the hardest core angler at Bass Resource?
Probably a member with a super low post count. Why? Because they're fishing, not posting, lol.

Breaking-off during cast
You don't mention what type of knot you used to connect the braid to the leader. If the connection knot is too big, like a double uni, sometimes it can snag on micro guides when casting. Breaking off at the lure "mid-air" happens because something abruptly stopped the line, snag or backlash, causing the leader to stretch and snap.

What do you think about eating bass?
We'd tell you all, but then we'd have to kill you, lol.

What do you think about eating bass?
Yes to eating ALL fish. I catch and release most, but I'll keep a couple to fry up and wash them down with a few beers. I hunt, I eat. I fish, I eat. It sure beats getting food from a can, box, or some other type of packaging. P.S. Maybe it's just me, but I find it a little odd that anglers who hook fish in the face, gut, eyes, body etc. feel bad when it comes to eating them. Vegan fishing club? lol. People of my generation (I'm not even that old!) and background would never think twice about eating, well, to be honest, anything. I do, however, respect individual decisions, so to each their own.

First glide bait - did I pick the wrong colour?
Your colour choice is fine. Personally, I would never spend $60 on a exposed hook lure if my favourtite lake was Rice Lake 🤣. Weeds, upon weeds, upon weeds! I fish there at least 2 times a year and really enjoy the lake despite it being somewhat challenging since it gets so choked out. For me, naturally coloured worms, creature baits, and pearl white paddle tails/flukes have worked best. Good luck with the swim bait. Make sure you post a picture when you catch one on it! P.S. I don't want to discourage you, but it seems like that swim bait has some durability issues.

Broken Costa’s
They're not the same because Luxottica now owns them, so you can kiss quality and customer service goodbye! When you buy a pair of sunglasses, you're likely buying something from Luxottica. I avoid them like the plaque, but it's getting harder and harder every year to do so, they own EVERYTHING! I like Maui Jim, who is still independent. Key Companies and Brands Under Luxottica Proprietary Brands: Ray-Ban, Oakley, Persol, Oliver Peoples, Vogue Eyewear, Alain Mikli, Arnette, Costa del Mar. Licensed Brands: Chanel, Prada, Burberry, Giorgio Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, Tiffany & Co., Coach, Valentino, Miu Miu, Polo Ralph Lauren, and others. Retail Chains (100% owned): LensCrafters, Sunglass Hut, Pearle Vision, OPSM, Target Optical, Sears Optical, BJ’s Optical, Cole Vision Care, and others. Online Platforms: EyeBuyDirect.com, Clearly.com, FramesDirect.com, E-Lens.com, Coastal.com, LensWay.com, GLasses.com. Vision Care Services: EyeMed Vision Care (a major vision insurance provider).

Making fuzzy-style baits out of pieces of used plastics?
I make my own fuzzy dice and fish them successfully one of two ways. I fish the smaller dice exclusively on a drop shot using a #4 - #2 Owner Mosquito hook. I fish the larger dice, mine are ~ 0.6", on a #1 straight shank hook, just like a wacky rig, occasionally hopping it off the bottom. I make mine by melting ripped plastic baits I've collected in the microwave. I use a silicone ice cube tray to form the cubes. Once set, I thread skirt material with a large eyed needle.

Did Googan change the Krackin' Craw claw design?
I guess there aren't too many fans of the Krackin' Craw, lol.

Did Googan change the Krackin' Craw claw design?
At some point did the claw design on these baits change? Some pictures online don't show the "v-ridge design". Were they forced to change because of how close the design was to the Rage Craw?

Why do most bass hit within a few feet of where my surface lures land?
I would assume the insta-bites are reactionary and everything else is some version of stalking/ambush with diminishing success because you're moving farther away from the target zone/bank/cover?

Can I post a video?
Vimeo is probably the easiest. Create an account. Drag and drop the video file. Wait for it to upload and process (use an internet connection, NOT data). Finally post the share link. Don't get me wrong, YouTube is pretty easy as well, but there are a few more steps involved with it's channel dashboard/creator studio interface.

Am I doing sometime wrong or just cursed?
Is there a lot of pressure? If fishing from the shore, make sure to fan cast and, if possible, fish some type of cover or structure (docks, wood, grass mats, drop-offs etc.). If you have smaller, less-frequented ponds around you, I would probably start there so you can build some confidence. Also, fishing can get a little tough this time of year. Tight lines...

Question about Pro Fishermen
I think the most important thing it tells you is that brand doesn't matter much. Don't get me wrong, I know in certain situations a particular lure might provide a particular action, and possibly produce slightly better, but for the average angler, this doesn't matter as much as the multi-million marketing departments want you to believe. As long as the lure performs, and isn't total garbage, then to me, they're all the same. Things like the great stick bait debate (Senko vs General vs Stick-O vs Dinger etc.) make me laugh (but, but, but.....the shimmy! lmao). I guess that at the end of the day it's your money, and you can choose to spend it as you see fit.

When you see a fish "blow up" (break the surface or boil up the water)- what do you do ?
Pee myself a little due to overstimulation.

Can’t get a bit on a wacky rig
Thanks! You guys are on some next level (slow motion video with time stamps? lol). I guess I don't notice because I use the same colourant and flake brand all the time, just different colours? To be honest, I don't even notice any change in effectiveness within stick bait brands (lucky me, I know) and for that reason, if I had to buy them, I would just buy Yum or BPS because they're much cheaper. I know they have different characteristics (e.g. Yums fall much slower) but "my fish" don't seem to care much.

Can’t get a bit on a wacky rig
Fascinating! I make my own soft plastic baits and I have never experienced different fall rates associated with colourant colour. I certainly don't have as much experience, or as tuned in to senkos as you, so could you please expand on how colourant colour affects fall rate? Heck, even adding flake, because it's so light, has no effect on the fall rate of my baits. I have to add salt to change my fall rates, so I'm very interested in learning more.

Can’t get a bit on a wacky rig
The wacky rig is stupid simple. You don't need any special techniques or specific gear. Hook a worm in the middle, throw it near fish. Tada! LMAO! If nothing happens, pop it a few times and let it sink again. I'll wacky rig almost any soft plastic (stick, trick, and ribbon tail worms, creatures, flukes, paddle tails etc.)

Ike jime
Unless I need to keep them for a while, I find that just pulling them from the water seems to work just fine. We foul hook them, rip their lips out, hook them through the eyes, nostrils, guts etc. but when it comes to keeping them we get all sensitive about it. I know, I know, I'm an inhumane fish-killing psycho who should respect nature and it's resources!
