  1. It's called harassment and scam....if you want to get nasty get a lawyer. What they are doing is illegal and harassment...I had the same problem.Whatever bill they try to send you...tear it up and throw it away. After while they will just stop sending anything.I've never been happier since i did this. I just wanted the mags and somehow ended up on the book list and all that crap. They pressure you into buying the crap from them.I hate that club with a passion now.I wonder how many other anglers are going through this.
  2. 1. What state you fish mostly- Michigan 2. How many fish you catch per hour or per outing(your best guess)-1 every 2 hours 3. Average weight LMB you are catching when you catch one(your best guess) 1-2 pounds 4. Average length LMB you are catching when you catch one(your best guess)-15''(it is the keeper size) 5. The biggest LMB you've caught this summer-I'm gonna say a little over 3 pounds Keep in mind i fish a high pressure lake, where just about every fish that gets caught by anglers here are taken home.So it's rare to see a 5 pounder swimming around.I'm shore bound as well....so the areas i fish they are extremely spooked and aware of everything that goes on around them.Which is why my theory of me having so much problems catching anything on senko/stickbaits...because these fish see it every single day.
  3. Try getting a neighborhood watch going. The best thing to do...neighbors need to watch out for each other.

Glenn, the carrot stix you said also comes in green...do you know if that is a baitcasting rod or is that only in fly rod?For the color choice of either orange or green?
  5. wow, that's really close to a florida rig...with a rattle...very cool.Might have to try that one day if i get bored.
  6. Your picking a good rod IMO....I'm close to picking up one of those rods as well...but i'm also looking at the airrus rods too...
  7. This is what i do as well....i catch carps who will suck in a bait(bass will too) and the only thing that will happen is the line getting a tad tighter...the fish won't even move! With my finger and alot of practice i can tell the difference now. Most of the time i get the aggressive hit,but i'm always prepared for that light bite as well. If in doubt set the hook....

I fish the jig till my fingers fall off ;D ...but today the place i normally fish seems like they caught on to my lure...i switched to a BPS tube bait and started slaying them again.I'm gonna start fishing tubes more now.
  9. Today i saw the moon and the sun at @ 10am(sun rises @ 7am).....i don't think i ever seen the moon and sun out at the same time before.
  10. I love michigan wolverines and my wisconsin badgers...
  11. All my carps are coming on the jig and pig....they hit that thing with aggression! I just got another one today off the beaver from ***. You can say i'm fishing for bass and carps now.... ;D
  12. They look for the easy picking here,my top three...pretty much goes all year #1.jig and pig #2.Any kreature/beaver plastic either T-rig or rigged with a weedless jig without the skirt #3.Spinnerbait white/char. color
  13. I once told myself i wouldn't spend an insane amount of money on fishing gear....that was before those 5 baitcasters,3 rods and countless lures and plastics i have now....jesus i was only fooling myself. But you know what,i enjoy it and love what i have and still be able to enjoy fishing..that's all that matters. If someone has some money they want to spend on something they really want,i say go for it.
  14. I started with the 6'6 MH combo from BPS...still have it and use it.Thanks to sites like these i'm glad i got that first.
  15. I think i'm gonna be bringing a crankbait with me tommorrow....i usually stick to jigging, but if the fish are gonna be aggressive i might as well bring a few topwater baits as well.

Only reason why i have one....i never fished it yet...
  17. You are absolutely right about it being thicker and stiffer,BPS is .012 thick in 12# test, this stuff i have is 10# test .012 thick.I perferr bass pro line..i can cast that like there's no tommorrow.
  18. daiwa peanut...they have an awesome wobble. They are right up there with LC's action and alot cheaper than the LC as well.
  19. The stuff split like a banana peel when i broke off once...I'm uneasy about the stuff. Some people love this stuff, not me.
  20. I like to trim the skirt down a little bit(even with the end of hook)..a smaller profile bait might help get that hook a little deeper in the mouth.Any slack in the line and that fish can come off pretty quick.I know mono stretches quite a bit. Also the more you play the fish the better the chance of you losing the fish.

Dude i'm laughing hard over here. That's great!
  22. I won't pay over $120 for a rod...simply because i'm hard on my hooksets as well... It's getting about that time i'm gonna need another rod.

you are missing out on not trying the jig x...that knot is easy once you tie it 2 or 3 times.I wouldn't be surprise though the 3 jigs i tossed from bad hooks were probably a booya or strike king.
  24. grimlin replied to Bassboy15's topic in Fishing Tackle
Jig X is also my favorite,i also use pj's,booya, strike king, eakins and a bunch of homemade from people online who make them. As long as the hook is sharp it's all good.I've thrown 3 jigs away so far from dull hooks, some reason i'm funny about trying to resharpen them.I fish for smallmouths alot of times and those guys have some hard boney mouths,a good sharp hook is a must.
