Congrats and have a good honeymoon! 8-)
  2. People are stubborn and only care about themselves. It's been like this for years. :-? That same thing happened to me once when i was a little guy too.My mom was so mad the airline didn't put us together. Then tried to asked the guy next to her to switch spots so i could sit with her and he said "No".So did the lady who i had to sit next to.....I flew 6 hours by myself...I was actually a good boy...i wish i would have caused a ruckus with the lady next to me if i knew what was happening.I was only 7 at the time. My mom told me the story later on when i grew up.
  3. Sums it up... ;D Been quite a few things happening around here as well.I've been hearing ambulance and fire trucks all day. A few weeks ago we had a car full of teenagers run around the train track barricades and the train hit them, killing all 5 kids.Upon further investigation they found out they were trying to get one of the teenage girl home on time so she wouldn't get grounded. This happened about 2-3 blocks from our house,I've never seen so many TV station helicopters in the air as i did that day.

Stay away from sugar, coffee and snack food.At least 4 hours from bed time. Stress will also keep you up.This is my biggest problem.
  5. Mrs.Braid's bread stores are the only ones I've seen that still carry Suzy Q. So if you can't find them check your local Mrs.Braid's bread store if you have one. I have 2 in the area i know of here.
  6. Lived on one of those inland lakes, Cass Lake in Commerce Mi. Sill have to find them, once you do either they are on or off, the bass have a big say no matter what you are throwing at them. Once you have learned all the answers, the questions get changed. You aren't kidding....All my patterns that worked last year 2 years ago, don't work today. Coming home after a day of fishing i look like this half the time. The Key to those fish success is them being able to avoid getting caught because of their weird behavior. It's hard as heck to get a pattern going from day to day because they change up too fast.I'm guessing the weather plays a role in that as well.
  7. I've been a hip hop fan since the late 80's/early 90's.This new hip hop stuff that's been coming out is garbage.
  8. Come to one of my inland lakes and I'll shatter that confidence quickly....Knowledge also plays a big role, the more the knowledge and success you have, the more your confidence grows. Which is why i read,re-read over all those tips on the main site and try to apply on the water what i just learned. Wealth of knowledge and learning from sites like this one is who i own my gratitude for my success.

I think we are going to see a steady increase in these stories....along with a steady increase in crime. With this economy turmoils, people are going to be force to fend themselves from poverty.
  12. Wow! Thanks for sharing, definitely jealous! Looks like you are pretty good with that fly rod.
  13. Thanks! This is the third suggestion to try Kent lake this week now. Looks like a small road trip is in order.
  14. I'm gonna bet there's a few young junior anglers on here that can probably whip some of these old guys butt. They probably don't have half the time or years put into fishing either. However i think "Talent" sticks out....Like Catt's saying
  15. 10 minutes(7 miles) to the nearest river system,15-20 minutes to the nearest 2 home lakes(Belleville lake & Ford lake),35 minutes to lake Erie,45 minutes to Detroit river,55-1hr minutes to St.Clairs lake. There's a number of parks that the Huron river connects around here,it a matter of knowing where they are at.I know of 7....I'm sure there's more.
  16. Find out if it's safe to eat the fish first from your wildlife.Reason i say this is because there is a few around here i wouldn't eat anything that came out of it including walleyes, bluegills and perch.(you don't to get them sick ;D ) Then start harvesting a few smaller ones, won't hurt the lake one bit.If anything It'll be good for it. There's one lake here that is overrun by bluegills that none of them get past 6".Couple years ago that place was deemed "unsafe" to eat anything from it.
  17. Is it possible for the smallmouth to take over the population better than the largemouth in certain lakes? It sure seems that way now. A mom and pop's store informed me tournament anglers are going way out in open water around lakes that drop off to 1'-30'.Sounds like they are shying away from the current and hanging out by the opening channels into the main lake.Problem for me is it is only accessible by boat. :'( Also told me smallmouths are having better spawns than largemouths are having the past 3 years now.Which is why the explosion in the smallmouth population. They are trying to encourage people to C & R the bigger ones.
  18. Well said, that's my prospective as well.
  19. Tubes-anything in watermelon/blk flakes or green pumpkin/red flakes(mizmo tubes are my favorite) Paca craw-alabama craw color ugly otter(small and large size)- in green pumpkin That's about $100 for me...I stock up on those above. I don't do shaky worms much,so i really can't recommend in that department.
  20. What inland lake are you fishing? If you don't mind me asking. I may have to take a little trip there.
  21. I called that hollywood dude out.....I gave him a 1 bobber. From seeing jignpig's comments,i got more respect for him now than i ever did. That man has class,no wonder he is so blessed with so many friends.
  22. I've played putt-putt golf at funland a few times in my life.....That's about as serious as i take golf to be. I had a bad phase with paintball though.I got too old and realize those balls starting hurting more than i could remember they did.
