Try this: You will need the following ingredients - a ripe orange - a lemon and lime - minced garlic Lawreys Cajun spice finely shredded cabbage Filet of fish (Tilapia, bass, crappy, walleye) something firm but flaky Olive oil Fresh Cilantro Freshly made pico de gallo (you can use chunky salsa but not as good) Either Sirachi hot sauce, Vallentine, or last resort, Franks Queso Fresca, or Feta cheese Corn tortillas (you can sub flour but corn is preferred) In a small saute pan add olive oil until hot. Dust filets with cajun spice. Add filets to oil and start to saute. add minced garlic, juice of lime, orange and just a teaspoon of butter. Saute until fish is flaky and white in color (do not overcook). Take filets out of pan and cut into cubes 1in by 1in. Blanch corn tortillas first. Fill tortilla with Queso Fresca or Feta cheese crumbles, shredded cabbage, fish, pico de gallo, chopped cilantro, and hot sauce. Dish is best served with dirty rice or mexican rice. Oh, and an Ice cold Dos Equis Amber ENJOY
  3. Welcome to the Forum!! I encourage you to post your location on the member map located at the top of the forum toolbar. I grew up fishing around Landen and am located in Lebanon. Do hesitate to jump right into the forum. You will not find a finer, more helpful site.

Thanks for continuing to make BR the leader... It is greatly appreciated by the vast majority of us members. Myhats off to you all
  5. True, I agree. Sitting at the ramp is possibly one of the most humorous times you can spend for free. Unless you are actually waiting to launch/load... Then, its fire and brimstone time.
  6. Good Luck and post pics! Kens is definately NOT a sit down eatery LOL. It is a marina gas and supply shop on the water in the marina at the point. After a long morning on the water, they grill your burgers fresh and have all the fixins. Extremely friendly, and can provide towing etc. if stranded. Now you are getting me all pumped.... BTW Last year we found the weedbeds on the south side of the 16mile metro point bend to hold quality LM as well as some huge pike and musky.
  7. We almost always launch from the 9mile marina, just behind the hotel and Cell Tower. Cheap, and I have never launched there when there was a long line of boats. Kens Marine is actually part of that marina. 586-775-9274 24770 Jefferson Ave. Saint Clair Shores, MI 48080
  8. Words cannot describe the joy I have from watching other people fail....... :0
  9. I will be up there on the 23-24th. We always fish from 9mile to metro point. Goby tubes, flukes, jerkbaits, and dropshots always produce. Also, if you get hungry, head in by nine mile to Kens Marina. Best burgers on the lake. A buddy of mine was out last week and said the fish were shallow in 5-9FOW and they were all fat. He boated 60 fish ranging from 2-4lbs on tubes, rattletraps, and jerkbaits
  10. 90% of my new hires are determined in the first 5 minutes.
  11. Ahh, one of my favorite topics other than fishing. Goto drink: Blantons (oldest distillery in Ky, also makers of Buffalo trace) hints of vanilla and caramel Henry MCKenna: only bourbon whos barrels are bonded by the US Government. very smooth, not too oakey Pappy Van Winkle 20: one of the best bourbons I have ever tried. NOT CHEAP but very good After 20 years in the bar business I have had almost all of them but these are my favorites
  12. Headin up May 23-24. Can't wait to idle out of the 9mile marina!!! Great Pics!!!!!
  13. I may take you up on that.... I can put together a BAD ARS care package from the states to ease your troubles
  14. My son has a pair of Oakley radars for baseball. They are very durable, scratch resistant, and have a good warranty. They are also EXPENSIVE at $189+ Is your discount a military/law enforcement discount? if so, I would jump at them. Their polarization/lense quality is not up to a Maui Jim but a very good product in my opinion.
  15. Glenn Are the BR decals still available?
  16. Fish from a boat...... Powder sulfur works tremedously but makes your socks green. 100%deet is great but putting poison directly on me is not something I REALLLY like to do.
  17. Gotta say I don't miss losing my cranks and jerkbaits to the ol toothy ones. All Slimy and man do musky stink!!!!!!!
  18. So Jealous!! I have been reading for 3 years about the sacred "Roadtrips" Hopefully, I will get to one soon. Great Post!!

  22. I like Justice, but I would have to make his middle name either "served" or "ofthepiece"
  23. Great suggestions everyone Here is my .02. Get a 32oz bottle of BTS for that great looking boat. You will NOT be disappointed and it will keep it looking new for a long time. BTW if you don't mind my asking, what did you pay for that rig?
