  1. http://solo-boat.com/ I saw this at the Cincinnati boat and fishing show this past weekend. I thought it was AWESOME!! The convenience of a bass raider but small enough for just a solo fisherman. AND, it actually breaks down to fit in the back of an SUV. For small ponds, streams this would be deadly. Check it out:
  2. Looks good. BTW, you can order BTS online.
  3. Great Video! Thanks for posting. Very well done and very informative. Thanks
  4. :respect-059: AWESOME!!!!
  5. My wife gets ticked because I am asleep before my pillow gets warm. Drives her crazy. LOL I love the turtle one, very funny
  6. IMO Cabrera will go back to third, where he played in FLA. If the Tigers are smart, they will try to deal Inge for some minor league guys and have the two bats on the corners. I cannot believe Cabrera will enjoy splitting time at first? Although, it may give him more time to drink. Tigers are going to be a force this year!! They are here in Cincinnati in July for a 3 game series and I will be glued to a bleacher seat. It wil be remeniscent of the old "Kid Glove Games" when I was a kid. Not sure who I will root for though??? Go TIGERS/REDS
  7. If you are planning on running either at WOT for an extended period I would look at the motors to be my determining factors. The Stratos, I'm assuming, has a 3 year newer motor. Now, if it had the 150 Johnson fuel consumption will be a huge factor. My 150 is lucky to get 2-3mpg. I was under the impression that the later model Stratos' either had an evinrude or Johnson engine from factory. It may be a different year than the boat. Have you had either motor checked by a trained technician yet? Thats where your money will be spent in the long run on an older model boat like those.
  8. First letter of my first name and my nickname is Fritter. Been married 6 years and I still dont think my wife knows my real name..... Its either Fritter or AS&%###@
  9. congrats man!!!
  10. My car is so old it didnt even have an 8 track player. I had four midgets in my back seat with instraments.......... I called it a compact quartet
  11. Oil does not need to be kept refridgerated. However, six month would be pushing it. Cold air will actually negatively effect oils so keep them at room temp or in a cool area. I have, however, used bacon grease that is sealed up to a year later
  12. They taste like chicken......... Squab in some parts of the country.
  13. Navionics maps and the Blue hot Maps books are the best out there. Check out the larger waterproof foldout maps at the BPS in Auburn hills They are located right next to the reel counter. Very detailed with brushpiles waypoints etc. If you have problems finding it ask for Bill. (big older guy with glasses and grey hair)
  14. You can contact the DNR in ohio also. I believe you will need the VIN number and the DMV can write you a lost title. Also, check with the DNR or DMV as I think any boat under 18 ft does not require a title. Or maybe that was Michigan, cant remember
  15. Great Post!!! Even in Commercial fryers used in restaurants the ideal temp is set to 350. As mentioned, do NOT use olive oil!!! It has a much lower burn tolerance and is not suitable for frying. Use a good vegetable or peanut oil. One large misonception is that the oil has to be changed every time you use it. NOT SO! Fryer oil gets "seasoned" every time it is used. When frying chips, fries, etc you can use your oil at least half a dozen times before changing it out. Salt, flour, etc will break down the oil over time and then it needs to be changed. When frying fish you may want to change it out more frequently unless you continue to just fry fish in the oil. Fish will leave that "fishy" flavor on the next item put in the oil. I am sure you have had french fries from Long Johns that tasted like battered cod.... Typically, commercial fryers in restaurants change their oil every 3-4 days and most will filter nightly. So, think how much product gets dropped into an Applebees etc. fryer in an average day. Your 2lbs of fish won't harm the oil. Good luck
  16. Have you thought about one of these? http://www.minnkotamotors.com/products/trolling_motors/engine_mount/freshwater.aspx I have a buddy who has one attached to his 21ft walleye boat. He uses it for trolling as well as docking. You steer with the steering wheel just as you would with the regular motor. Easy to install also
  17. Just curious, what did you pay for that truck? I will sometime in the not so distant future be looking for another tow vehicle and don't want to blow the farm since I wont be driving it much. Good looking truck
  18. hahaha I know, horrible, right?
  19. No Problem guys! Clayton is right, use the pepper flakes to taste. I actually cut it down to a 1/2 for my wife as she thought it was just a tad too spicy.
  20. My only concern would be if it is a Japanese reel any service issue or part may be hard to come by. On the positvie side I hear you only catch "GODZILLA" bass with Japanese reels..... I know I know, horrible, but humerous
  21. I actually had an employee with the same name. I thought someone was playing a joke when I checked the payroll register for the first time. Classic!! I have also had the LA-A (ladasha) as a guest with a birthday party Also had a manager that worked for me whose name was Sunshine Beam. (her parents were hippies)
  22. I see you are located in Ohio. What waters are you planning on fishing? For the price listed You could get a very nice John setup or depending on the lakes you will be fishing on a nice Bass Hound type boat for that price. There are better deals out there, just be patient
  23. If you use ice you may want to place it in a plastic bag. Chlorine and fish do not mix.....
  24. you should first check with local DNR officials as it is illegal to transport gamefish in some states. Without having the benefit of livewells I would suggest modifying a large igloo type cooler and installing an aerorator
