Carpet Adhesive Needed
I call it gorilla snot that makes two of us. It should work well for that application. Make sure the aluminum is very clean.

Wal Mart trolling motors
I have also heard that walmart will go to a manufacturer and tell them we want to sell your product, but we won't pay more than x dollars, but we will buy y of them. Making money on sheer quantity. I ordered the motor last night.

what gauge wire?
This is 100% incorrect. The longer the wire run the larger the wire you need to carry current without overheating.there are several charts that will tell you the proper wire size for the amperage and length of run. If you really want to get down to it it can matter if the wire is in free air, bundled, and steady or intermittent current. I really should have asked my question as How many amps will I be pulling with a 40 lb TM and just figured it out myself. I do have several years experience with aircraft avionics and wiring mods on large aircraft. I was sort of shocked when someone suggested the home centers beacuase as far as I know they only carry normal house wiring which is unsatisfactory for this application. I thought that there may be some place that is widely know to carry the proper wire for a good price. I had thought about car stereo wiring but I had not thought about welding cable, that is a good idea.

Wal Mart trolling motors
I have had more that one person tell me that the Trolling Motors that you can order from Walmart.com don't have the same quality that the ones you buy from Basspro, etc. Sort of like they were the blems or quality rejects from the factory. Has anyone else heard this? I find it hard to believe and I am getting ready to buy a 40 lb Powerdrive for $350 from Walmart, but I just want to make sure. Andy

what gauge wire?
Are you talking about using just ordinary THHN house wiring? I was assuming that it would be more of an automotive style wire.

what gauge wire?
Where is a good place to buy that size wire that won't break the bank? Andy

what gauge wire?
What gauge of wire should I use to run from my battery inthe back of my 14ft v-hull to run a 40lb thrust Powerdrive on the bow? Thanks, Andy

BPS soft tackle bags
Does anyone have the BPS extreme qualifier 370 bag and can give any reviews of it? How about the XPS stalker bag? Thanks for any reviews. Andy

Trailor hooks?
I always put a trailer hook on a buzzbait/spinner, but instead of tubing I usually just cut of a 1/4" section off a trick work and stick it on the hook to keep the trailer hook on. Andy

Plano boxes not hook proof
I was under the impression that the Falcon box was a little smaller than a 3700, but too big to fit in my 3600 sized bag. Will they it in a 3600 bag?
-
Plano boxes not hook proof
Along with the falcon hook organizer I would also have to buy more 3700 boxes and a new tackle bag to switch over. That is a little more than I would like to spend right now.

Plano boxes not hook proof
Is there a secret to keeping hooks organized in Plano boxes? I have several 3650's and 3670's and it seems like the hooks will move from one compartment to another on all of them. What does everyone else do? Andy

morning bait
Well I tried the black buzzbait with no luck so I went to a Chartreuse spinner with still no luck. I then went on to a t-rigged dinger, a wacky dinger and a shakey head finesse worm. I was skunked for the second day in a row. the first two times out in my new boat and not even a bite

Good deal on PFDs.
None of the 3 that I looked at had the auto PFD's. I did pick up a couple of their basic fishing PFD's for $5.00 each.

EWG's vs Offsets
One thing that I have noticed with the EWG vs. offset is that I get hung up in cover much less with the EWG's. Personally I would rather lose a few fish than lose twice as many hooks and weights than I otherwise would. AS far as fish hookups I cant say since I have only caught 4 bass with either hook, and it is split 2/2 between them.

morning bait
What is a good morning bait for this time of year. I will be on the water at 7am. I was thinking about starting with a spinnerbait and then moving on to my normal t-rigged yum dinger. How do topwaters and weightless shad colored flukes work in the morning? I also have some buzzbaits, a couple cranks and several jigs. I am welcome to suggestions. Andy

battery charging
Is it required or recommended to stick a brand new deep cycle battery on the charger before first use? I would like to maximize the life of the battery, and make sure I don't get stranded my first time out because the battery dropped some charge from sitting on the store shelf. Thanks, Andy

BPS Extreme baitcaster drag
I recently bought a BPS Extreme baitcaster/ rod combo. This is my first baitcaster. I want to make sure that the drag is working properly. I get one full turn on the drag handle going from full tight to full loose and I can't turn it anymore. Is this right? It just seems like I should be able to loosen the drag much looser that it gets. I am also used to spinning gear so it is probably just my inexperience with baitcasters, but I just wanted to check.

trolling motor on bow only
Thanks for all of the replies and ideas. I am set on the 40 Lb powerdrive for the bow. If I don't end up putting a stern drive on also I will fabricate a rudder out of some sheet aluminum and extrusion to keep the rear end tracking better. Andy

trolling motor on bow only
I was reading the electric bass boat thread and how he was saying that he has a couple stern drives, locked in the straight position with a bow mount to steer. I am seriously considering trying this as I can borrow a stern mount TM to try it out. As far a getting the boat on the trailer I have done it a couple times with no motor whatsoever. The way the launches and docks are set up all I need are a rope and a winch. Andy

tying on a spinner bait
I suggest that you just use a palomar knot. I use this knot 100% of the time for any bait that I use. Andy
