MN Clubs?
www.classicbass.com has most of the tournament scheduals in Minnesota. They also lists boats for sale and have some fishing articals. I'm currently fishing the Falcon Individual Bass Slam circuit based out of Sauk Centre MN. Were fishing alot of good lakes such as Osakis, Minnewaska, and Ida. these lakes are in central MN. check out the website and find a tournament near you. Also, I'm in a Tuesday night league that fishes lakes in central MN as well. If you want more info just ask.

Triton Magnum 197
Im looking to get an aluminum bass boat for fishing shallow rivers and lakes and was wondering by those who own a Triton Magnum 197 how they like it. Does it give a fiberglass like ride? Does the wind blow it around easly? Is it a good boat for tournament use?

Your fish finding lure
My brain. I have different search lures for different conditions. Mostly though crankbait.

st croix avid over premier??
Get the avid. The premier is nice, but the avid is in my mind the best rod one could buy. Very light and sensative. I've replace nearly every Premier I have with a Avid.

Rod Sensitivity Upgrade or BIG Upgrade ?
you can't go wrong with St. Croix Avid series.

Name brand or bulk?
I was wondering if most of you guys use name brand soft plastics or buy generic bulk? Do name brands work better or is that a hype? I buy in bulk alot except for senkos and have great success.

sweet beaver
I don't think it matters. usually i don't but after a few fish the tail splits apart and i continue to catch fish at the same rate.

Spinnerbait trailers
I don't use trailer hooks. Never had a fish swipe at my spinnerbait. They seem to eat it all the way for me.Just my experiences.

Storm Swim Baits
I've had great success on Storm's Wildeye Live Perch (4") and Sunfish (3"). I manly use the sunfish as a bed fishing lure and the perch on flats, dropoffs ect. Can't seem to catch anything smaller than 3lbs on them.

Storing plastics
I keep the baits in their original package and use a crooks tackle system to organinze them. This tackle system is the best i've seen and used.

Which Reel is Better...
I just recently bought a Shimano Citca and love it. Great reel to replace the price tag of the new Curados

Wacky rig tackle
I was wondering what some of you other guys are using to fish a wacky rig. Currently I'm using a Shimano Sahara spinning reel with 8lb Power Pro on a St. Croix Avid series 6'6" Medium heavy rod. Is there anything you guys would change with my tackle?

Wacky Rig hook
I've been experimenting with wacky worming recently because in my area wacky rigging hasn't caught on quite yet. However when I use a plain Gamakatsu EWG hook I constently get hung up with aquatic vegetation. So lately i've been looking into hooks with a weedguard and was wondering are they worth it, does the guard decrease hookup ratio, and which brand is best? Thank you

would you buy a Kistler for this reason?
Stick with St. Croix. They've been in business for ALOT longer than Kistler. Plus why switch if your happy with your St. Croixs

Frogs and Braid?
The places where frogs are fished most using braid is a must!!!! Braid also skips frogs, jigs, tubes and others under docks and trees alot better than mono. I use a 7' St. Croix Avid Series in Heavy power matched with a Shimano Curado reel spooled with 50lb Power Pro. I have never lost a fish with this setup.

switching to braid....
Power Pro is definatly the way to go!!!!!!

Shimano Crucial DropShot Spinning rod
I recently went into Gander Mountain and started comparing spinning rods. I'm currently looking for a spinning rod that I can not only use for dropshotting but also using the shakey head. I compared Shimano's Crucial Dropshot spinning to a Falcon Lowrider and a St. Croix Priemer and Avid series and found that the shimano was the lighest one. My question is how godd is this rod to some of the other finesse techniques out there and is it better than a St. Croix Avid in the 6'8" Medium power?

Berkley Vanish
I love flurocarbon lines but I will not use vanish. Vanish is really easy to break and is not very abrasion resistant. Use Gamma flurocarbon. Best flurocarbon I have ever used and it is worth its price tag. I also like Seaguar Invisix.
