  1. Glad to hear that u had an awesome experience w/ Power Pro!!! It works well w/ spinning reels and I highly reccomend it.
  2. Vicious Fluorocarbon. Costs about the same as Vanish but doesn't completley SUCK! (no offense to those that like it, just my mistake experience) Also I'm going to experiment with Yo Zuri Ultra Soft because Road Warrior really seems to like it.
  3. a few key words here: 7 1/2 ft rod Heavy action, 50-65lb braid, a quality frog, and a little patience.
  4. Thanx for all the help quyz! U've all been a real help with this. Keep them comming if u come up with more! Glad to hear all the sides of the stories and reasons why.
  5. I'm looking to get a few squarebill crankbaits for this comming season but don't know which baits to get. I a have 20 some Original Big O's from Cabelas that I fish with but only two of them consistently catch fish. Instead of wasting money on wood baits to find the few that work I'm looking at hard plastic. So I was wondering what your guyz favorite square bills are and y. I'm currently looking at Lucky Craft RC's and BDS, and Spro Little John. Other's though will be helpful.
  6. Slurpies are AWESOME!!! They work really well compared to the senko. Also thanks to Dean Rojas there are even more slurpies. They inlclude the Brush Beaver, a sweet beaver like bait, and the Jungle Hog, a Brush Hog bait.
  7. Apply it urself. Just make sure you have it exactly where you want it before scuffing. I did mine w/ a friend and it only took about 15mins. However I do regret not putting it a little bit farther down the keel. Otherwise to have it professionally done ur looking at $300 for the keelguard and labor which is outrageous.
  8. They are worthless pieces of junk. If your flipping and all of a sudden find urself needing to make a quick cast to a bass breaking the surface u'll usually be too excited to switch the off and then u make a cast and it grinds inside and really hurts the reel. There is no reason to have one of these.
  9. Get the Kistler. However, with a little practice you should be able to skip under docks w/ a baitcaster. Thats how I do it and I know I'll get the fish in the boat w/ that kinda of setup.
  10. Instead of fluorocarbon I would use 50lb braid for flipping. If you are worried about vision you can add a 5 foot leader of fluorocarbon. That way when conditions for frogging are right u just have to cut off the leader and tie on the frog.
  11. Sorry u feel that way Jeff. I love my BPS rod socks. They work quite well for me and are'nt very expensive.
  12. Shimano Chronarch Some Kislter rods the new St. Croix Avids BassTrix Paddletail Tubes (on backorder at this moment)
  13. Power Pro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very manageable. Doesn't matter what kind of braid you use as long as its not Fireline or Fireline XDS or Spiderwire. As for the line color fading do what Kelly Jordan does and color it with a permanent marker. I really don't care what the color is because most of the time I'm using braid in heavy cover where the fish probably don't even notice the line.
  14. I mainly use Rat-L-Traps but I've also had a lot of success on Strike King Diamond Shads.
  15. I fish it like a t-rig without the short hops. its a very slow sweeping motion. I always use a 3/4oz. weight because its not too heavy that it gets clugged up w/ grass yet ain't too light in that it takes forever to get to the bottom. As for jigs it depends. If its a football jig i drag it, if its a regular jig i hop it.
  16. St. Croix Musky Rods are Awesome!
  17. I agree, a used boat would be a better option. FOr $20,000 u could get a 2002 or earlier boat that would normally cost $50,000. For $33,000 u could get a used Ranger Z Comanchee w/ a 225 that is only a year or two old.
  18. 6' 10" Falcon Lowrider Shakey Head Special M power w/ a fast tip.
  19. Shimano Citica w/ a 6'6" Falcon Lowrider MH
  20. Shimano Symetre : $79.99 I love this reel. as far as coffee grinding in your reels they may need to be cleaned and lubed. I clean and lube mine once after the season ends and once in the middle of the season
  21. I use them as buzzbait trailers
  22. Dean Rojas sure does love em. Me on the other hand don't know. All about knowing when to use them and when not.
  23. Dean Rojas uses a 7:1 for his frog fishing. However, i think it will work awesome for lipless cranks. It should work for everything except deep crankbaits.
  24. Fluoro allows your crankbaits to dive deeper.
