How often do you re-spool?
I respool every reel before each tourny. the exception is braid which in some cases has lasted me for 4 years now.

Knots you use
Palamor 100% of the time. VERY fast to tie and VERY strong. Haven't broke a knot yet.

Shimano Citica 200D
I've purchased a Citica 200D back in May and so far it has exceded my expectations. not quite as good as the old green Curados but its right next to the old curados as my favorite reel. 8-).

some people have no sense
I had another kind of stupid. I was recently fishing on a lake known for its boat traffic. I was fishing near another boat about 20ft. between us. While we were fishing a speed boat ran right between us pulling a water skier. I made a motion as to say wat r u doing and he shrugged. I then made a motion saying he should've gone around and the guy operating the speedboat flicked me off >! >!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How stupid is this guy. Luckly the people in the other boat and I were okay from his huge wake he threw.

Speedometer problem
I agree that it is a complete waste of space. My father just installed a new one on his boat a month ago and its already stopped working. I'm replaceing mine w/ a Indash Vexilar FL-10.

Flipping stick combo?
Get a regular 7'6" flipping stick. Every rod company makes one. If U can handle the rod length and afford it a 8 footer is all the rage. But for starting out a 7'6" is the way to go. The length of the rod allows u to get the fish out of the pads or other cover in a hurry. Go w/ a Heavy action. U want ur rod to have guts if ur flipping vegetation. U got the right gear ratio in mind. I use a 1/2oz. 70% of the time when flipping pads. Also use atleast 50lb braid.

Zoom Brush Hogs
The Baby Brush Hog is probably the 3rd best flipping and pitching bait out there. I like to trig them w/ a 1/8 oz. sinker unpegged. Great when flipping mats of vegetation or wood in stained to muddy water.
-
brush jigs and trigs what else?
I've never fished in a situation like this but I would think a dropshot w/ the hook texposed would also work. Just keep the leader between the bait and sinker around 12" or less. I do this when fishing matted grass, pitching into holes w/ a flipping stick matched w/ a shimano curado reel spooled up w/ 50lb braid and a 1/2oz dropshot sinker. This should also work in the trees w/ plenty of power to get the fish out of the trees. Try it and let me know how it goes k. 8-)

A couple spinnerbait questions
1. Stick w/ the Palomar 2. I NEVER USE A trailer hook! I'll trim the skirt before I ever use a trailer. Seems that I gut hook the fish w/ a trailer and I have to go through a long difficult process to either get the hook out w/out hurting the fish or try to take the trailer off the main hook and leave it in the fish. 3. Color doesn't matter to me. I fish natural looking colors in clear water and brighter colors such as white, chart. in dark water. The best color combo ever is the chart/white skirts. As for blades I usually stay w/ a colorado on the front and a willow on the back.

favorite color

What is your most productive lipless crankbait?
1/2 oz. Bill Lewis Rattletraps. Also like the old Berkley Frenzy rattler's. New ones arn't as good.

frog questions
When fishing a frog, I use constant downward twitches of the rod tip. In vegetation the frog MUST BE CONSTANTLY MOVING otherwise if a fish is tracking it from underneath waiting for the frog to get in open water/ less dense vegetaiton and if u stop it the fish will lose track of it and give up. In open water i also don't put a pause in because I want it to look like the frog fell into the water by mistake and is trying to get out of the water causing a reaction strike from a fish.

Where to fish frogs?
I DEMAND THAT U FISH EVERYTHING!!!!! Bass can feel everything around them. When ur frog is walking across those pads the pads vibrate which transfers down into the water. If a fish is underneath ur lure as its walking across the pads they'll follow it to where the pads become thinner, comes to an opening, or to the edge of the pads in which they will DESTROY KERMIT!! The only thing is that u better cast the frog w/in 6-12 inches of ur last cast. U must be very through with this style. But it is worth it! At any moment u can catch a real pig. My personal best on a frog is a 7.3 lbs. This is HUGE in Minnesota seeing as how our state record is 8lbs 15oz. It may take all day but when u get a bite it'll be 3lbs and up! Also if a fish blows up but doesn't connect w/ the frog make sure to have a followup bait like a senko or jig. I've also throw the frog back to the same spot a couple of times before I give up. Have fun w/ Kermit. Good luck! 8-)

Time spent on maint & care
I do a through cleaning once a week and wax once every 2 weeks. U can not resist the pretty pretty shiny shiny.

Soft plastic Go-To bait other then a senko/stick
4" Tubebait in watermelon w/ red flk.

Jig or Craw?
Jig. I can't seem to get a bite w/ a t-rigged crawdady. Besides a jig and trailer look like a crawdad anyways.

Weedguard stiffness
I was wondering how stiff of a weedguard most of u put into bass jig molds such as the Poison Tail? I'm currently using med. stiffness (.021) but was wondering if the heavy stiffness (.024) weedguards work better. thanx

Braided Line/Hook problem
Go to Gamakatsu hooks. U won't have that problem again. If u want use superglue but i never had to.

Jitterbug Colors
One thing I forgot to tell u is always use a white base/primer first before putting on ur other colors. Adding glitter to ur epoxy topcoat or clearcoat really makes the baits look neat.
-
Jitterbug Colors
The most common way to paint lures is using airbrush but i when I'm painting the entire bait a solid color basic spray paint has always done the trick for me. Make sure u remove the hooks and tape any diving lips or in this case the metal face to make sure the paint doesn't get on it. After spraying the bait i use a hair dryer to quick dry the bait. Finally I put on a 2 coats of clear spray paint or if u want a very durable paint job use an epoxy and let it dry for atleast 24 hours by hanging it on a rotisery. Then put the hooks back on, pull the tape off and go fishing. the guyz in the tacklemaking section really know their stuff if u need help. Also www.tackleunderground.com is a website that is completly devoted to making custom baits that u might want to check out if u get intrested.

Braid or Mono??
Braid is probably the best type of line ever made. Make the switch to 10-20lb Power Pro and u'll still exprience the to cast a worm a mile! The pros are a stronger line w/ thinner diameter and its even more sensative than mono. the only con i've experienced is that if ur fishing ultra clear water the line sticks out more, however I don't believe the fish matter if they can see the line because their mostly concentrating on the lure itself.

Spray on Attractant/Scent?
I religously use BANG on my hands. Its the first thing i do in the morning after launching my boat.
