  1. I have a little experience with Linux, got a book and loading it on a desktop and a virtual machine on my laptop to practice some more. If you have questions maybe I can help, IM me.
  2. It could happen from any site, some obviously more then others but its possible anywhere. Thats where the **** option in Firefox helps, reduces the chances of getting a drive-by virus.
  3. Between Mac and Linux go with a Linux. There are many options, I would suggest Ubuntu to start out. The OS is free and applications are free to use. Just keep in mind its not point and click computing. You will have a learning curve but well worth it. If you run Firefox as your browser I would suggest running the addon called ****. Will stop any scripts on websites from running without your permission. Greatly reduces the chances of getting infections.
  4. Have a tournament coming up leaving out of Tydings Landing in Harve de Grace MD in two weeks. Never been there before and cannot find any information about the area. If you know anything you are willing to share please IM.
  5. Don't forget your Cheez Wiz, or since its night fishing maybe some Velveeta. I won't be out for this night fishing, first week of playing darts. As you found out saturday I need to be playing to get the rust off..... Hopefully I will get out Thursday morning for a little fishing.
  6. I tried cxx for two fishing trips, kept breaking for no apparent reason. Went back to yozuri hybrid without issues.
  7. That one works pretty well. I talk to some penetration testers (people paid by companies to attempt to break into their networks) it is scary to realize how easy it is for them. For example, parsing data found on social network sites they can gather potential passwords for an individual person and have over a 90% success rate. For individuals there is one called Zeus, which steals logins to financial institutions, less then half of antivirus software catches this infection. The malware not only steals the login information but the "picture" a lot of these institutions use to validate you are at a correct website, and a screen shot of shot of the website so they have all the information needed. Oh, another fun one is the quizzes some people share on Facebook. Hackers have created some using questions found from financial institutions as their questions to validate your identity before resetting your password. Once on Facebook people would answer the questions.
  8. I do Cyber Security for a living, lost track of the number of infections I had to clean up from users who thought certain sites are immune because of size or being well known. The individual sites may be good but they can be infected without them knowing it or banner ads can do the malicious activity. Make sure you have a good antivirus, and a back up of anything they can't be lost. It is amazing easy to get infected.
  9. Have no suggested sites, but a warning to be very careful with that. Very easy way to get your system compromised by malware.
  10. Been trying to think of some spots but can't really think of any which is not rough fast water or not filled with pleasure boaters. Some other places to take it would be Lake Needwood, Cunningham Falls, and Greenbrier.
  11. My point being for something like a car purchase, not counting the new aspects of something completely different like the Volt. I want information that I can count on, using items like wikipedia which the source is unknown, or magazines which have ads from the same manufacture selling the product does not work.
  12. Wikipedia is not a good source for referencing, being anyone can update the information these "facts" could be put there by marketing period or others who have something to gain from the industry. If used Wikipedia as reference to any of my college papers I would get failed.
  13. Good luck Hellbender... Just got back from my tournament, finished in the money, 4th tourney in a row. And got lunker for the co-angler's at 3lbs 1oz. Was a very tough day for everyone. Had a good topwater bite to start the day, then the tide came in and not much was caught afterwards. Btw, the tournament was at Mattawoman...
  14. Code-Red, the use of the longer leader means you can retie more often without having to retie the leader also.
  15. If you got to spend it definately wouldn't be a bad choice but starting out would the extra money spent help in any way? Probably not. Honestly any of the reels you mentioned, paired with either rod will perform very well for you. And the money saved could be used for more lures and terminal tackle.
  16. Well it wasn't his choice to leave Dallas, and he is grew up in a suburb of Detroit so he is just going home. Can't really blame him for it.
  17. Sully, Black Hills has been very tough recently. Even being in a boat hitting the deep points the bite is tough. Went out with Hellbender Saturday and only got a couple bites. Between us only got 4 in about 6 hours (not counting 2 small dinks) The Monocacy is a good place, from Buckeystown to the Potomac is a trophy area. No bass can be kept at any time. The Rt 28 bridge can be good, just look for the deeper holes. The water is down now so wade downstream if possible find the deeper holes and you should get some fish. Be ready because there are some nice catfish in there also.
  18. FishingBuds, good advice only if you make enough money to buy a house without a mortage, or the vehicle/boat without a loan. In todays world running your life is akin to running a business.
  19. If the idea is to build up a credit score it is best to keep a little balance going month to month. Yes it will have some interest doing this but will build you credit better then paying it off each month.
  20. The craws are very versatile, great baits. Can be carolina rigged, texas rigged, keel weighted hooks. The retrieve can be hopped or pullled along the bottom or steady retrieve as a top-water... possibilities are endless. The zara can be used for walking the dog but can also be good like a popper. Vary the retrieve until the bass tell you want they want.
  21. Dave, It is at Jiffy Lube Live, formally Nissan Pavilion. Bass-Brat, No I didn't, I just asked a simple question about a concert. Don't see a need to have it start into a debate of what type of music is better.
  22. Just curious if anyone else is going to the Mayhem Festival at Jiffy Lube live on Sunday the 8th? My wife and myself will be there. If you like this style of music it will be a great show, Korn, Rob Zombie, Lamb of God, Five Finger Death Punch and more. And yes I know its not everyones style of music, not looking for a childish debate over what music is best. The world would be boring if we all like the same things, find what you like and enjoy it!!
  23. even being a retrieved lure the flouro will pull the buzz frog under water. Not necessarily a bad thing, but not what you going to want all the time. Peronally I would go with 17lb Suffix Siege which would be good for both applications.
  24. Wow, first time I heard anyone say Verizon has the best customer service. I stay with them for the network coverage but almost all the times I have used their customer service I leave frustrated.
  25. I have both, and both are good but I do find the Bucoo better. Not only is it lighter but I find it better balanced, and more sensitive. One of the great things about having all these choices for equipment is the ability to buy what we find works best for us. Just because one thing works best for me doesn't mean its best for everyone.
