4 inch shad and micro-popper
looks like they MIGHT have a chance at tangled, but they might not. i should have spaced them out a little more, but i wanted to concentrate the weight as far to the rear as i could get away with. lol its not like it makes any difference, i'll probably never end up using this stupid little thing ;D

illegal? id say so
here in maryland "...it is unlawful to introduce any fish species except bluegill sunfish, golden shiner, fathead minnow, channel catfish, and bait fish on a hook for the purpose of angling without written approval of the Freshwater Fisheries Division". -- straight from the handbook. a while ago my friend and i found a nice little isolated pond in the woods. it didn't have any fish in it, so we stocked it with a bunch of bluegills from the local park (the park has an overabundance of bluegills, and we stocked it over several trips, staying within legal limits each time). then we decided we wanted bass in there but i wasn't sure if it was legal, so i looked up someone i could email to ask them about it on maryland dnr's website, and i sent the guy an email asking if it was legal to transport live bass and put them in a private pond. he said it was fine as long as they were legal size and we had the legal limit.

4 inch shad and micro-popper
sure is lol. my stainless steel wire was making the bait sit too low in the water, so i just used hook eyes as the hook hangers. if i was making the bait for myself, i would have only put one hook hanger on it, but my friend wanted two.

i have only heard of behemoth, between the buried and me, and i may have heard of pig destroyer. i find that most of these metal bands with terrible names (see above lol) have equally terrible music. no variety within their songs. each song sounds like the same riff constantly repated. i don't like that. too one dimensional for me. also their vocalists aren't worth poop. not saying this is the case for the bands you listed because i haven't heard any of their music, i'm just saying i find this is the case with a lot of metal bands that you don' t hear much about.

creole oh ok. never heard that term before. I am also a metal fan. IMO Tool is the best band ever. But my average metal intake is waaaaaaay heavier than Tool. It's actually a lot heavier than Pantera. What is your metal? lamb of god, metallica, pantera, children of bodom, arch enemy, slayer, in flames, are some of my favorites.

Wizard of Oz / Darkside of the Moon
I had the Sabbath Bloody Sabbath cassette when I was about 9 yrs old. I listened to that tape at night to go to sleep, until I started having horrible nightmares. My dad made me throw it away when I started waking up screaming and my brother started sleep walking. thats hardcore lol. sabbath bloody sabbath is by far my least favorite sabbath album (out of the ones that i have, i have their first 6 albums, they got sucky selloutish after that). the song sabbath bloody sabbath is great, but the album as a whole is a thumbs down. i like sabbath a lot, but i don't like ozzy's solo work. however, suicide solution is definitley my favorite ozzy song its a great song, not worth killing yourself over though :-/ ;D

4 inch shad and micro-popper
i made this shad because one of my friends said he had an automotive clearcoat and he wanted to see how good it would work on a lure. so he told me to make a lure with simple paintjob that i will be able to fish a lot and give the clearcoat a thorough test. he also will not tell me what clearcoat he sprayed until i have tested the crap out of this lure.....its frustrating lol. as for the actual clearcoat, its not very glossy at all, which i'm kinda disappointed in. its more of a semi-gloss or maybe even a satin finish. its also not hard to the touch like epoxy, but he said it won't be fully cured for a few days. after that he said it should be hard as a rock. so i'll give this clearcoat a shot, see how it works, and if i end up liking it after its all said and done, he can get it for me at a good price and i can either have him spray it or i can dip it myself. here's the bait: this little guy crawled up next to me when i was taking those photos: another friend told me to make him a 1" junebug popper. i said ok, i should have it done by tomorrow. so i whipped this up out of pvc and painted it with nailpolish, as close to junebug as i could get: showed him the picture today and it turns out he wanted a popper that imitates a junebug (the insect), not a junebug colored popper ;D so i'm keeping the popper for myself and i'll carve him up a floating beetle with a popping face. thus concludes the past week in my lure making escapades....

Pegging the weight?
i peg the weight when i want my worm to quickly make it to the bottom (sometimes if i don't peg it, the weight will slide down the line on the fall and make it to the bottom before the worm). when the cover is thick i will peg the weight so it won't slide down the line and get caught up in crap. also, when i want to impart DIRECT action to the worm, i will peg it. i did this with the rage tail anacondas because of the big tail on them, i thought that if i didn't peg the relatively small weight, that when the worm fell it wouldn't get that tail wagging. but with the weight pegged, it really pulled the worm through the water and gave it a different action. basically, in short, pegging the weight amplifies its effect on the action of your bait. when i'm fishing sparse cover and smaller baits, i won't peg the weight. when i'm fishing heavy cover and bigger baits, i will peg the weight.
