That looks amazing. I am just worried its too big for the water I fish. What size fish will hit a bait that big?

Hello all. I am trying to get organized for the upcoming season. With that brings new questions. I am currently using Yo-Zuri Hybrid on all of my setups. I love the line and highly recommend it to all. With that said am I missing out by not using braid for certain applications? If so, which situations? Which brand/lb test do you recommend? Not sure if this matters but I primarily fish a semi clear body of water (visibility 3-6 feet). Thanks.

I started out with the sx and was never able to get comfortable with it. I traded it in for a stx and have never looked back. To me the difference was huge in terms of casting and feel.

Springfield Most fish out of Fountain Head. Tourneys there as well. Huntsman/mercer for quick trips.

i was using my spinning outfit...yo-zuri #6. the hook was an ewg 4/0. i really think it was one of those fluke things. however i dont understand why they have the gap though...

picked a few up last week. have not tried them yet but agree with you in terms of appearence. i would think there would be major hook set problems. looking forward to hearing others opinions...

I am very anal when it comes to my line and knots. I am 99% sure the knot (also a Palamor Knot) was tied correctly. I have such a sick feeling after loosing a fish like that

i started w/ a few BPS rods (70 million modulus) and did not like the feeling at all. i traded them in for a few avids and the difference is amazing. My vote is Avid all the way!!!

the occoquan is amazing. you just have to stick with it and the patterns will start to emerge. i fish there a few times a week. when the water is like you described i usually do best fishing very tight to structure down river.

Hello all. I normally use Gamakatsu hooks for all my soft plastics. I was bit by the bait monkey a few days ago and decided to give Owner hooks a shot. Long story shortI tied on an owner with a Senko this evening. I get a nice bite and set the hook. The fish takes one jump and my line appears to break. I am thinking to myself this line (Yo-Zuri soft) has NEVER broke on me before. I am furious and continue to reel my line in. Upon closer inspection of my line I realize my knot is still intact which means the knot slipped through the opening on the eye of the hook. Is this a normal problem with Owner hooks??? Why is there even an opening that allows this to happen???

i have owned both. i personally hated the sx. i traded them in for a few more stx's. the difference for was huge. the sx was not as smooth plus i was not casting it as far as the stx. do a search for sx vs. stx and you will so a few more posts of people who agree. hope this helps.
