its really hard. they both are really sensitive. the carrot is super light. My carrot is a 7'6" heavy that feels like a medium. Given the heavy action I wanted a rod as light as I could get. Having said that...for that price I would go avid. I am gonna order one too...thanks to you!!!

close to pulling the trigger on a new AVC70MF thanks to another post running on this d**n forum!!! I currently own stx's and a patriarch. Should I stay with one of those or try something lighter given the m action rod??? Most likely I will use this rod for shakey heads and weightless lures. Any ideas???

I own both an avid and carrot. I like them both but an Avid for 130 is a steal in my opinion. I am having a hard time not ordering one myself...

I do not own a curado e but I do own a stx and a patriarch. I love them both. Simply amazing reels. I would say the Patriarch is little more user friendly. However there is a HUGE following for the Curado reels as well.

I do. I trim most skirts close to the bend edge of the hook. I almost always leave it uneven. I also trim the weed guard down close to the point of the hook.

I have not had mine long enough to give a true review. It feels great and is super light. Great sensitivity thus far. Shop around!!! I found mine on Ebay for 110 shipped NEW!!!

not a jig expert but the first thing that comes to mind is the size and weight difference. Finesse jigs are typically smaller and lighter than flipping jigs.

i just recently picked up my first carrot. I have not tested it enough to comment nor do I own a Crucial rod. I only paid 110 for my carrot through ebay (new). I will say for 110 it is the best rod I have used.
