Burley, Being from NC I love a vinegar based BBQ sauce on chopped pork. Best thing ever to me, but I figured most of the people on here, especially not from the Carolinas and VA wouldn't have a clue thats why I spoke of the sugar based sauce. Nothing like a good BBQ sammich with some coleslaw on it add a little texas pete and I am out for the count. ;D

I have never had the Sweet Baby Rays', one of my personal favorites is Bone Suckin Sauce thats made in Raleigh NC. They also have a spicy mustard that is awesome to marinate chicken in. I will give Rays a try though.
  3. Awesome, I needed a good laugh. ;D
  4. Being from NC I got to pull for App State, but I am afraid that it's going to be a one sided game. :-[ LSU just has too strong of a football program.
  5. I finally got in and accepted the invite. Sorry it took so long, recruiting duty doesn't have the best hours out there. I am looking forward to another great season with a bunch of great people. That being said. May the smack talk begin!!!
  6. Congrats, Nice truck, take care of it and it will last you a ton. I just traded a frontier in on a Tacoma and it had 215,000 on it. Good driving.

God bless you and I think you and your wife can provide these two boys the stability they need to become fine young men. Best of luck in the future.
  8. Hookemdown Not sure if you are a big history, military enthusiast. If you are, then I would suggest "Iwo Jima" by Bill Ross, or " No bending knee , the battle for Guadal Canal" I can't remember the authors name. Let's you know more about the young men from the 40's and appreciate the older generation more and their sacrifices for our freedom. More current, my personal favorite. "My men are my heroes" this is about Operation Phantom Fury Fallujah Irag in 04 by SgtMaj Brad Castle. There are a lot of good reads out there and I am just suggesting a few of my own. Jeremy
  9. Has 2.5 million posts in 3 days. ;D LOL no insult just some good ribbin
  10. Coming to you from Fairfax Virginia. I used to ride a Harley (sold it), Drag race (parked it) and used to raise a ruckass (Got married). Now I have completly lost my mind,so bass fishing it is ^ basically means " I'm an old fart" ;D just kidding
  11. I don't know if you can use golf clubs as an example. The clubs that Tiger uses are completely custom and not available to the general public. Now whether or not the reels that KVD or any of the other Quantum guys are off-the-shelf reels is debatable. While the Elite pros have to place a lot of faith in their equipment, I still don't see them fishing a lot of the products if they're not getting paid. You are absoluteltly correct and that was what I was aiming towards, I can't say 100% but I am willing to bet that the pro's aren't using off the shelf rods n reels. They may have the company name on them but they are not stock.
  12. Man thats sweet, it looks like it came from the factory that way. I bet you could make a lot of side money doing that. Great job.
  13. Well the quantum reels work fishing is always up to the guy holding the rod im sure a reel will hold up to a day of fish and even if it breaks he has 8 other on the boat. When the money and points are on the line as it is in the Elite series every second counts for these pros. When success is vital, whether it be to make a sponsor happy (which most sponsors like for you to do well. Who wants to buy a product endorsed by a nobody) or to fish your way into the next year's classic, time is of the essence. I can't imagine these guys fishing with something that isn't solid. Maybe the replace them after each tournament but I do believe that for the one's who stick around and are in the spotlight-they fish with products that help to get them there. Why does Tiger Woods use Nike clubs?

Where do you guys buy them, none of the local shops have them, the only place local that I know carries them is Dicks and they are always sold out. I checked out BPS and Cabelas and they seem to carry every other type of Yamamoto lure. The closest place that I know for sure has them is over 3 hours.
  15. Chanrocks93, I have the same reel as you on a 7ft shimano compre. I had the same problem as you to begin with. I found that for regular casting to set the brake on 5 and for flippin and pitchin I will set it to 2. You have to remember to readjust the brake or you will get a horrible birds nest. I have had my reel since March and it took me a couple of months to get really comfortable with it. I still get an occastional back lash but I am not having to respool the reel after every trip anymore. As suggested start off with heavier lures until you get the hang of it. The reel is not top of the line but I have found it to be very forgiving as long as your not trying to chunk the lure a 100 yds. I am still trying to get the drag set to a setting I like I am not sure if its the drag or line slippage but I have lost some fish due to this. Most of all don't give up just yet and if you feel like you want to throw it in the lake just let me know I will take it off of your hands. Jeremy By the way, I know its not the best line out there but if you want a inexpensive mono until you get the hang of the reel I have been using Sren super knot in 10 or 12# test and it has seemed to work the best for me. It runs about $5 for a 220yd spool.
  16. As always awesome video, I am looking forward to the LBH clothing line, I am in need of a new wardrobe. Would that make me a member of the LBH fishing team??? ;D
  17. I was in last years league and would love to join in again.
  18. Good luck in the morning.
  19. Congrats to you and the Mrs. the best days are yet to come.
  20. I would like to join in on this as well if possible. Thanks
  21. Sounds like an awesome trip. Congrats on all of the fish. I couldn't see the pic you posted though.
  22. In my opinion TNT rules over Fox's coverage. I really hate DW and his boogity boogity boogity. TNT seems to cover each driver better than Fox and not single in on Jeff, Tony, Jimmy and Dale. I also hate the guy in the garage area and the cut away car. ( " Hey guys when they said he had a flat tire this is what they meant, if you look at the ford cutaway car. This here is a tire and when it goes flat ............ yadayadayada.) That is my distaste for Fox. Cover the race, not just the top 5 drivers, and don't insult my intelligence on a car.
  23. Very nice fish, although were you fishing to have fun or were you on a date. ;D Man its wierd to see you grow up in the pics. Maybe you can't see a big difference in the two sets of pics, but I really can. Great job.
  24. Thats awesome, good job to you dad for taking him fishing. *** are so easy a 3yo can do it.
  25. Thanks all, I have just got back into bass fishing the past year and a few months from saltwater and while it took a while it was most definately fun to catch this gal. I am still excited about catching this bass and really looking forward to a new pb. Hopefully the next few weeks.
