Tanks RW! Looks like I might be picking up one of those, do you have any personal experiance with them? Is it just hollow inside? Or are there clamps or compartments for individual rods? Or do you just put a rod sleeve on a stuff as many as you can inside? ;D Either way it looks ideal, thanks again guys

Like to hear what some of you guys have used to transport rods longer than 7' on planes and such thanks

you want to match with the weakest part or your rig, if your rod is a MH than 30# would suffice and depending on where you're at and how heavy the vegetation is you will want to upgrade your line or in my case if I were you I would get a rod that's made to handle flipping and heavier line..IMO I've never come across a shakespear that would handle the task of punching or jig fishing efficiently for that matter... Also depending on the quality of the guides braid can cut into them I dont believe shakespear uses quality guides but I could be wrong...

I wouldn't buy a turd because it say's made in america...so why buy a subpar reel that carry's an embellished price tag? Ardent is a relatively new company and it shows in their product...I wouldnt go by the tackle tour review alone but it seems the consensus is that there are better reels in that price range if you were to pull the trigger.... Give them a few more years of R&D and maybe they'll will come out with a reel that can compete. If they are still around.. : Also as far as the one guy who mentioned "flipping a frog"...please I would love for you to elaborate... ;D

uni-uni splice is what i use, sometimes if you dont wrap the braid enough it might give but if you're getting anywhere near the backing when casting it's time to spool up again

I wasnt aware of the high levels of mercury down there, here we have the same thing, the potomac is alot cleaner than it used to be but we still have a long way to go. Its recommended that you dont exceed one portion per month and a portion is usually 4 ounces. I was also referring to the non natives, not a thing wrong with taking those...well except the mercury poisoning thing ;D
