Lake Fork Tackle No More ??????
i just went to Lake Fork tackles web site to look at a plastic craw my buddy told me about and this is what came up???? The contract available via this link has been be breeched by the owners of Mark Pack's Lake Fork Trophy Bait & Tackle. This site is shut down due to extremely harsh verbal threats of legal consequence demanding the termination of the site. Complying with these demands is in direct violation of the signed aforementioned contract. It is our understanding that this contract did not specify a termination date and is therefore, still valid. This means that any efforts on the part of Mark Pack's Lake Fork Trophy Bait and Tackle to directly market Lake Fork Tackle products via the World Wide Web is a direct and blatant disregard for the aforementioned contract. my question is are they going out of business or what? i have always bought their products at wal-mart but the selection there is pretty minimal so i thought i would order some direct from LFT. any help?? robbie

Hook Manufacturers need to get the hint!
lol funny you mention the "superline" design hooks because that was just what i was using only i was using mustad. the package had the "made for superline" garb on it. im a huge owner fan myself but found these "superline ewg" hooks on clearance at wally world for $1 a pack. they were hard to pass up! I know what you mean but, I guess it's a matter of perspective. I've been using those same "problem" Owner hooks since the early 80's... with no problems. They were designed before today's superlines were out and popular. I still use mono and Owner is still my hook of choice. I do see your point with gammy, they advertise "superline" hooks so they ought to be made for it.

Hook Manufacturers need to get the hint!
THANK GOD! i thought i was crazy. i lost 4 fish the other day at a pond and almost all were on the hookset. i was using power pro 50# with palomar knot. i thought i was tying the knot wrong but on the last fish i lost i could see the knot still tied but no hook!

Buzzbait blade color?
imo, gold blades work great on cloudy days. chrome blades on sunny days and you almost always want to use a black/dark color when fishing at night especially when there is no moon.

Clear hard baits?
i use a clear/baby blue small pop-r on table rock lake just after the sun gets up to catch a ton of bass!

Hart Tubes
years ago i was lucky enough to fish with stacy king on table rock and he turned me on to "gitzit" tubes. i used them for ever until i found the shocker tubes and now they are my #1 bait! i have won several bets with buddies while fishin hart tubes. the action on them vs other tube baits is a bit different. its the long ole tail on them imo. if you get some make sure to get the watermelon/chart . i also have good luck with black neon in dirty water. robbie

Hart Tubes
just wondering if im the only one using these awesome tubes? if im not mistaken they have the longest tails on the market and are loaded with salt. i live in oklahoma where the company is based out of and i have to order them online because nobody carries them. their spinnerbaits are easy to come by but the tubes are another story.

Did I Make A Mistake ???
i have been wanting a "cranking" rod for a while now and finally made up my mind to get one yesterday. i did some reading on the net about which one was the best for around $100 budget , pros and cons etc. i heard a lot of good things about bass pros crankin sticks so that is what i decided on. when i got there i found several other brands of crankbait rods and started to compair them to one another. the bass pro crankin stick felt kinda stiff even in the medium light version. the kvd quantum felt nice but they were out of the 7ft model. what i finally came home with is the american rodsmiths david fritz 7ft crankin series in medium action for $80. it just felt the best to me and seemed to have the forgivingness in the tip to keep bass from throwing a crankbait. after i got home though i noticed that this rod is TOTALLY glass. my question is.. did i make a mistake by not getting one of the stiffer rods with graphite? does the graphite make that big of a deal when crankin w/fluorcarbon line? if i did get the wrong rod let me know because i can still take this one back. it is still in the plastic wrap etc. thanks in advance for any help! robbie

Old Worm New To Bass
when i found out that mann's bait co was no longer going to make the auger tail worm i stocked up. with all the new soft plastic baits that started hitting the market i kinda lost the room to carry them in my tackle box so i stored them in the garage with the other old fishin lures. years has past and i was going through that old stuff and saw those auger tails. i remembered how good they used to be and decided to put some in the boat. i began trying them when nothing else would work and 75% of the time they produced when nothing else would. my question is for all you bass pro's. do you think A: its just something they have not seen B: maybe the action is different from anything being fished today(cork screw)? or C: its all in my head ? thanks robbie

What Kind Of Weighing Scales To Get??
im wanting to buy one of the lip grabber/clamp type fishing scales and dont want to make the mistake of buying one only to replace it in a week with a different brand. i am wondering which one is the better one of this type of scale? i have been using a digital rapala scale for years but it will only weigh up to 10lbs. i see a lot of the big name fishermen using the gripper/weigher type now and figured that would be the type to get? any help would be appreciated. thanks robbie

Pork-O Anyone???
what is menhadden milk? i have never heard of it. Ghoti you are soooo right about the bottles leaking. that was the only thing i didnt like about the bait. i started keeping them in plastic containers after all that salt leaked out on some good hooks and ruiened them. robbie

Pork-O Anyone???
thanks dan! i will have to get a few of them. i guess very few people fished with pork-o's since there has only been 2 replies?? it might have been before a lot of peoples time on here i dont know? most of the people i know that fished them said they never caught anything on them but what i learned about them is you dont catch many small fish and you have to be patient. i would guess my average fish on them is around 3-4 lbs. thanks again dan... robbie
