Tackle Box Accessories?

Featured Replies

What are some of the things yall carry in your tackle boxes that I guess you could call accessories? Like all the things you carry that aren't lures or hooks.

For example pliers, rag, knife, etc.

Suncreen, bug screen, pliers, small first aid kit, flash light, power bar.

needle-nose pliers , rapala hemostats , 100% deet bug repelent , philips screw driver , knife , razor knife , fiskar scissors , X-TOOLS pliers , soft tape measure , line pick ( for the occasional birds nest ) , worm blower , tweezers , misc. band-aids , rubber bands , tooth picks , sunglass cleaner cloth and that's about it !!! btw , i was cleaning out and re-organizing my backpack , that's how i know all the cr@p in there  ;D , hey , it's 1:20 am , what else are you gonna do when you can't sleep  :)

Dang pgersumky you bring a bunch of stuff  :).

I always have a camera and a scale. Sometimes a stringer, knife, pliers, flashlight.

It depends on my back pack. I have 3 of them.

One for night fishing, one for saltwater and one for day time freashwater. They are all stocked and I just put the camera and scale in which ever one I am using. A lot of times I go at the last minute so its nice to just be able to grab a pack and a couple rods and go.

^^ I feel you!

i forgot to include my berkely digital scale !!!! and some times i do take my digital camera but most times use my camera phone !!!  :);)

Nail clippers for cutting line, needlenosed pliers, and even though it's usually not in my bag I also will have with me a reel repair kit with screwdrivers and other tools so I can add lubrication to any of them in a pinch if they start to feel dry while in use.  I usually don't fool with a tape line for measuring fish.  While on the boat  I have a "golden rule" aluminum measuring board, but while bank fishing I just slap them down on top of one of my Plano boxes.  Each box is 14" long so I can judge based on that how large the fish is.  I never weigh any of them no matter what, I don't tourney fish so it doesn't matter to me, I just like to know if they were 15" keepers or not.

And of course the day's gonna come when I hook a pretty good one that's much larger than a typical keeper and then I might be sorry about that, but until then.....

Also I can't forget the most important item........a bottle of Mountain Dew. Of course this item needs replaced before every time out. :)

Pliers, line cutters, screwdrivers, and a knife. This time of year I might throw in a flashlight depending on the time of day I head out.

Epipen.  I'm very allergic to bees.

Paper towel to clean my glasses of salt spray and flashlight around my neck, pretty much it.

Freshwater rods have a 20 inch mark and inshore saltwater rods have 28 inch & 32 inch marks (snook slot).

Let's see.... clippers, eyebuster (for cleaning paint out of jig eyes), tape measure, scale, bug repellent, sunscreen, hemostats, reel oil, and a small abrasive stone for sharpening hooks.

I carry a Gerber multi-tool on my belt also.

worm blower?

Brushhoggin, the worm blower puffs up a nightcrawler so that is floats.

I always keep in my main tackle box- Long pair of needle nose. Main pair of needle nose. Floating pair of pliers (with good braid side cutters). Scents. Nail clippers. Jig eye cleaner. Scale.

What's up with the corkscrew? The Lighter... I get that, but a corkscrew.

Sometimes have a little wine after the day, but it's

hard to pour without a corkscrew.

Split ring pliers for changing hooks on crankbaits or spinnerbait blades, hook sharpener, black Sharpie for a quick touch-up for the paint on jigs.
