i am normally a braid guy but it is not available in my area under 10# at least and i whant 4#, would i be better to go with mono or flouro? it will be used for mostly pan fish.

I like the fluoro, just because it sinks better.

I like DAM Techtan line, have yet to find a thinner, stronger line for ultralight applications. Hard to find though and pretty much any limp mono will work.

I don't care how old you are...you can learn something new every day. Never heard of this line, but a quick search discovered why. Where would be the best place to buy some to try? Without going to Evil Bay.

I use the 3.1lb test for my ultralight rig. It's extremely thin and easy to fish but it does break very close to it's rated strength. I've landed catfish and carp over 10lbs on it though.

4lb test lines offer too little margin for error in both manufacturing and fishing.

oe
