I like and use the Paca craws and chunks. I have not used any Rage craws only because I bought a large supply of Pacas on sale a couple of years ago and if it ain't broke, why fix it? Big O is a regular on this board and a site sponsor, and when it comes time to replenish my stock I will buy some Rage trailers to see what all the talk is about.

Rage craw. Best action of any soft plastic.

I've tried the Rage and they look good, but I have the most confidence in a Yum Crawbug. It looks the most natural and produces the best for this guy.

Rage chunk is my favorite, but all of those work. Pacas seem to last the best though.

I fish Rage Tail.

the gloves just came off

I use Netbait paca chunks and craws only. Tried Rage Tail and they don't last as long as Net bait. I'll keep my Net bait Thank You. For those of you that don't want your Netbait chunks and craws, you can send them all to me. LOL

I prefer the paca chunk and paca chunk sr

If its free then I love netbait!

I like Rage chunks and I also like the Paca chunks, one brand sometimes comes in a color I like and the other doesn't, so my decision is often based on color rather than brand. I have confidence in either one.

I use two types of craw trailers depending on the mood of the fish. For years I've used the either the 4" or 6" Gene Larew Salt craw when the fish seem to prefer a more subtle presentation. When I want more action, I'll use a Zoom Super Speed Craw, Paca Chunk, or a Rage Craw.

Gambler Mega Daddy. Zoom Speed Craws for my small jigs.

I'm a fan of the paca chunks because of the color choices and durability.

The question was ; Best craw for jig trailers? Why limit the choices?

If you don't have confidence with a jig trailer, why waste your previous time on the water using a product because it's free or less expensive? Use a trailer that works for you and keep trying out trailers during a good bite, don't wait until the bite is tough, there is nothing like catching bass to boost your confidence.

My answer is none of the choices and I have tried them, they don't work well with my jig fishing techniques.

Rage Craws on all but smaller jigs where I use Paca chunks

How do y'all put the rage chunks on the jig? Do you thread them on the hook or hook it through the center like a regular pork chunks?

  • Super User

Haven't used those in my limited jig fishing but I have been using stankxbaitco hero craws myself.
