i like a white fluke  3/0 EWG gammie

i saw some Yamamoto shad shade worms on sale for $3....but they didn't look at good as the fluke??

Strike king 3x zulu. It is almost impossible to rip or tear that bait. one bag will last the whole season lol.

I like the Super Fluke in white or watermelon, 4/0 EWG super line hook. The extra weight of the superline hook helps it sink a little deeper without messing around with weighted shank hooks.

I like the shad shape worm, but as a drop shot bait.

the shad shaped worm is not like a fluke. it's a different type of bait.

I like flukes, Wave Tiki Shaddicks, Strike King Caffeine Shad, and Case Sinkin' Salty Shad

I've tried and like the Tru-Tungsten Depth Shad.  It doesn't seem that it's caught on with many anglers, but I did good with them last year.  I hope they continue to produce them.

Watermelon Fluke-I always used white but lately I found Watermelon works better most of the time.

The reason they haven't caught on is because they are $7-9 for a bag of 3...I am a bit of a soft jerkbait connoisseur and I was thoroughly looking forward to these baits until they came out and I saw the price tag. It's just not worth it to me.

Same here I can add weight to mine and save money. I figured they were made of superplastic and couldnt believe when they were not.

Shad Shaped Worm sink pretty quick.  Makes it a good "hands-on" drop shot bait, and also great on a split shot rig.

For flukes, I like plain old Zoom Super Flukes in Albino.  I usually add some color to mimic local baitfish.

Super fluke in white or baby bass. I usually use a 3/0 ewg hook.

Lake fork Live Magic Shad, 5 inch, with a 5/0 weighted Owner beast swimbait hook. Can work varios level of the water column with various retrieves, and the bait has just a sick action.

I like the Yum Houdini shad the best. The tail shimmies on the fall,unlike the zoom.I like white overall the best.Only bad part is I cannot get it in all the colors I can with the zoom super fluke or a magnum size. In the zoom I use a lot of green pumkin,junebug,white ice. Like the other guy stated I like a 4/0 gammy superline for a little extra weight or an Owner wide gap plus 4/0 which is a heavy wire hook. You can get by with a 3/0 but I always seem to get better hookup with a 4/0.

I have found that if you add too much weight to these that it hinders the natural erratic action. Heres another way to add a small amount of weight and still keep good action. Take a heavy gauge nail or even better a large lead nail weight and insert it straight through the body in the middle of the bait AS PICTURED to allow a horizontal fall and then clip off both ends.It also makes a nifty shad dot on the side.With a lead weight you can ususally get 2 uses out of one weight. You can also add 2 or more of the smaller lead weights the same way. I also sometimes use lead solder on the hook shank(3rd picture). That way I can place the weight where I want.

After much money lost and lots of trial and error, I've nailed it down to only two brands of jerkbait that I use: Berkley Powerbait Jerk Shad and Castaic Jerky J's.

These two jerkbaits always drop belly first and has the slightest sashay on the fall. Every jerkbait glides similar but the fall is what separates these two jerkbaits from the rest.

The only thing to keep in mind is both are really light because they use different grade plastic compared to the typical jerkbait. They rip easier and you will notice your supply going out faster. When I switched over from Yum Houdini Shad I noticed a big weight difference, especially the slimmer profile Berkley. Use caution, baitcasters.

My favorite is a Super Fluke in smokin' shad or sometimes bait fish.

A good bait that doesn't get much attention is the Lunker City Finesse Shad baits.  Much like any other fluke but better action with its thinning finesse tail.  Many a good fish caught on this bait

I like both the Super Fluke & Super Fluke Jr. Baby Bass is a great color.

I throw mine on a E21 Carrot Stix 7'3'' mh with a pfluger supreme 20 lb sufix throw it in the pads while letting it die in holes and on the edge of the pads

Slug-go in silver ghost, I think its called, and rainbow trout. I use a 4/0 Gamakatsu EWG.

anyone tried the Berkley Power Slug? I just picked up a bag because they looked cool. I had never even heard of them before I saw them in the store.
