Other shows Tom petty, driving and crying, stiff little fingers, the cure, echo and the bunnymen, go go's, flock of seagulls, smithereens, Rolling Stones, U2, the black keys, buddy guy, Los lobos, I'm sure I've missed a bunch. I've seen a lot of these multiple times especially Buddy Guy, I've seen him at least 5 times! That man is flat out amazing!

Best show hands down has to be stiff little fingers 30th anniversary of inflammable material album!

What can I say, one of the biggest venues for the punk rock scene, I was 18 in '82 (legal to drink back then) and I enjoyed a good show and some libations and other stuff as well! *wink*wink*

Just reading these posts makes me wish I could've been to some years ago, but since I'm only 23, I never got to see some of the older bands in their prime (i.e. Metallica). Wished I could've seen Linkin Park in their prime too. Still want to see Foo Fighters.

I haven't been to many concerts but those that I have been to were fairly small since they were here in a college town, but they were awesome.

First one was Chevelle. Small crowd, because it's not typically the main genre of music for folks around here (Luke Bryan sells out in a matter of hours here), but man, they rocked out bigtime. It was awesome. Despite the small crowd, they rocked faces off.

Second and my absolute favorite was Evanescence. I am a HUGE Amy Lee and EV fan. They opened their tour for their latest album here and it was unbelievable. They know how to put on a show.

I've also been to a Carrie Underwood concert. While I love Carrie, and her concert was good, it's not one I'd really pay too much to see again.

sweet shows! circle jerks and stiff little fingers were cool shows. Meatmen was another great one.

They were great shows! Forgot minutemen/rem show I saw at radford one year $5, just a few weeks before Dee Boone died. I remember Firehose at the 9:30 club, saw INXS a couple times, replacements....... Wow, gimme a little while and some more might come back to me!! The Bayou had some great shows, NRBQ, hunters and collectors, waxing poetics. The db's were always a great show! Just can't find that kind of music to go and see anymore. I'd like to go see the Alabama Shakes some time soon

It wasn't in the nicest part of town but man was it a great place to get up close and personal with the band! The new one is in a worse part of town in my opinion, just a few blocks away from Howard university. If you go, I would highly advise paying to park in the lot behind it!!

One of the few advantages of being and older guy, seeing some of those bands in their prime. Back in the day I went to a stadium show with dual headliners Metallica and Van Halen. It was an all day show with five or six other bands playing before the double headliner. Good suff.

Iron Maiden - November 5, 1987!  Somewhere In Time Tour.

Went to a KISS concert back in 77, or 78.  This was back when they wore makeup.  I think the last concert I went to was Shania Twain back in 99.

I saw Barenaked Ladies a couple times when Steven Page was still with the band- once in '98 and again in 2001. Both shows were awesome. Best group I've ever seen live.

Favorite ever: Pearl Jam in 2003 (i think)

 

I just saw Candlebox at Peabodys in Cleveland last tuesday for 17 dollars....was a freaking kick arse show!!!!!! My wife even loved it. They played their first album entirely and some extras.

 

Neil Young was ok around 2006/7....

Saw Soundgarden a few times (most recently three weeks ago and was incredibly close to the stage) and loved them. Best concert ever? Neil Young in 93. Backing band was Booker T and the MGs and opening was Pearl Jam and Soundgarden. For the second finale, Young, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden came on and hammered "Rockin' the Free World"...absolutely epic.

Also saw U2 as part of the Zoo TV tour back in the early 90s and it was a fantastic show.

Could have saw Springsteen back in August but had just returned from the Carribbean and decided to rest that weekend. From what I hear I missed a stellar show. Still kicking myself over that one. Other shows I've seen included Van Halen, Tool (amazing live and I was only four rows from the stage) and other ones I can't remember from the early 90s...saw more heavy metal acts than I can possibly remember and a lot of old school blues men who have sadly passed on.

I saw Pinetop Perkins in my towns library, I sat next to him as he played, only about 20 people there, and we stayed and talked to him afterwards. 

For me it's Clapton by a mile. In about a month, I'm gonna see him again. I can't wait!

Bob Dylan Rolling Thunder mid seventies / missed the Allman Brothers, they had to cancel again mid seventies. Man that was a long time ago.

I saw the Powerslave tour. Probably one of the most all around talented bands ever

I saw Pinetop Perkins in my towns library, I sat next to him as he played, only about 20 people there, and we stayed and talked to him afterwards. 

Pinetop used to play regularly at a bar called Rosas in Chicago. I saw him play on his 90th birthday. A major loss to old school blues.

I'm going to see The Avett Brothers live in May in Knoxville, Tennessee. I hope it the best I've ever seen!!

Journey and Def Leppard put on a pretty awesome show a few years ago. Clapton wasn't bad, but it was a low energy show that kinda plodded along.

 

The best show I've seen though would have to be Trans-Siberian Orchestra. I've seen them 3 times now. Has got to be one of the most amazing lighting shows you can see, with some pretty sweet music to boot. 

For me it's Clapton by a mile. In about a month, I'm gonna see him again. I can't wait!

 

Same for me. Clapton 1st, then B.B. King a distant 2nd. All the other I've seen, just don't compare. Will be my 4th Clapton concert this tour. Gotta get as much of these living legends as I can.
