Classic Day Three

Featured Replies

Can Brandon Palaniuk hold'em off ?  He's using a crankbait and a finesse worm.

Cliff Pace is 2nd 10oz back

Mike Iaconelli  3rd 2pds 15ozs back

maclelland is on fire.  He's already culled more than the top three have caught.  He's fishing a secondary point close to deep water. Ike is a four pounder out of the lead.  If he can cull one of his two pounders he'll be close to the lead.

I'm kinda hoping that Pace finds a big afternoon bite - that would be dramatic.

There's no question though, that Palaniuk or Iaconelli could win.

Then again, Mike McClelland is having a good day . . .

How many of them are sandbagging their weights ?

  • Super User

Pace has been sandbaigging all weekend.

  • Super User

I'm glad they are sandbagging ~ it makes the weigh-ins that much more interesting.

I'm cheering for Ike. He's a great teacher and quite the character. Besides... I promised myself that if he wins I will treat myself to a new Veritas and Revo drop shot setup.

From what I've seen so far, the estimates can be off by a few pounds, so looks like we might have at least 3 guys who could win.  Definitely going to put some drama into the final weigh in!

Yea thats what they were saying in the war room live feed.

Pace has been averaging 21 lbs per day and now we are to believe that he is less than 10lbsa on the day. I seriously doubt it. I want hank cherry or Ike to win. But i have feeling that pace could run away with it...im sure hes seriously sandbaggin.

Day 3 -Bassmaster Classic 2013 Grand Lake, Oklahoma

Finally about 10:30pm last night I found out my pro for Day 3--Edwin Evers! He stars out in 20th place.

The second day in a row I am paired wit a native Oklahoman. Yesterday I was paired with Tommy Biffle--he made the finals by one ounce and starts today in 25th place.

Since I was born and raised in Tulsa (moved away in 1986) I was glad to be paired with some fellow Oklahomans.

Edwin caught only one keeper. The general talk has been that the lack od wind in the morning was big factor in smaller weights.

My first Classic and it was great.

Will definetly attend future classics.

My next Marshal gig is the Elite Series Tournament at Lake Falcon in Late March. Got my motel res in Zapata and will arrive a few days early to fish Falcon!

Weigh in was great. Guys had a tough day on the water it sounds like. We watched Evers catch his only keeper of the day and Ike roar up and make two casts at a dock. KVD caught several keepers off the ramp at the cabin we were staying in, my buddy and his son even made it onto Bassmasters.com on the Day 2 on the water pictures. They're the 6th picture into it.
