PowerTeam Lures makes a good one.  I really like it in Green Pumpkin and a color called Blue Hue which is pearl with a bit of blue pearl mixed in.

 

Although I mostly use it as a swimjig trailer, I have had success with smallies fishing it on a 1/8oz Buckeye J-Will Swimbait head which has a 4/0 Mustad hook.

 

 

Heck yeah! I put them on everything. Spinnerbaits, swimjigs, dart heads, swimming hornets,chatterbaits, and 1/4 jig heads. They catch fish for me. I have also found much success fishing these on a 1/8 oz jig head and very light flouro line, this is an amazing finese presentation. I learn that technique watching Jarret outdoors on the outdoors channel.

I regularly fish them as swim jig trailers.

 

I'll also fish them for smallies. I keep it simple and rig it on a 1/8 or 1/4oz bass pro jig head. I have had luck with white, green, and sometimes smallies just hunt for something chartreuse. 

 

The senko has taken over grubs for me most the time tho.

Their grub does look nice.  The 4/0 isn't too big?

Grubs are my "go to" bait when everything else fails. Green pumpkin or watermelon seed are my two go to colors.

 

It's pretty hard to fish them wrong. Experiment using them.

 

Right now I use Zoom's fat albert grub. Kind of playing around with a few others, but Zoom has always been good to me....even though their quality been kind of going down hill lately with 1-3 baits being disfigured...but even those messed up baits still catch fish...so I am not complaining.

I have two color grubs in my favorite patterns like black/orange chart/black white/red ect. I fish them on 1/8oz walleye jig for >10FOW. Ill catch anything from walleyes, bass, pike, bulkheads, and my buddy just landed a 45" musky on a walleye jig and grub at the dam here in town.. Cheap and easy..

I use whatever is available no brand in particular, but Kalin's are good quality. I use grubs very rarely as the quality of fish tend to be less than desirable. every now and then they work on a swim-jig but swimbaits have been much more productive for me.

1/8 oz darterhead, Yamamoto, smoke w/blk flake. My lone "panic box" item.

GYCB in 176 on a 1/4 jig head, 3/0. Classic smallmouth bait.

Grubs are fished heavily on Table Rock lake in the spring (as in now).  "Scrub the Grub" is what folks around here say, which is, put a grub on a 1/4 jighead and drag it on the bottom.  Smoke with salt and pepper is a very popular color.

I always like a 3" smoke with black flake, white or black. on a 3/32 to 1/4 round jig head.

I fish it either one of 3 ways, straight steady swim back, bouncing yo/yo retrieve or dragging.

The grub is one of my most confident baits because of their versatility and they just flat out catch fish! 1/4 oz head with a green pumpkin or salt n pepper grub is killer all year long.

I fish grubs a lot. They'll catch virtually any kind of fish. My favorites for bass are 4" black grubs on a 1/4 oz. ball-head jig.

I sure do.  4" Grubs in green pumpkin variant on a shaky head.  If the bite is tough and the bass wont hit a jig this little set up is a fail safe for me.

I use 5" Kalins on an IL. legal version of the A rig, and will occasionally throw a smaller one on beetlespins

ohh yeah, 4"inch grub on 1/4 oz or 3/8 oz Jig head. It catches everything in the lake, and got a few turtles as well...

Well I could wax poetic about grubs for a long time, possibly even surpass the site's text limit. Simply put grubs can be the simplest bass catchers out there. They won't call bass from afar, but if you know where they are, grubs can work really well. The simplest I've used were the broken off heads of plastic worms threaded onto a jig head. So simple it's stupid but bass will eat them. Add a clip-on overhead spinner to slow it down or for dingier water.

No atleast I don't think so.  It goes back to almost where the tail section starts which to me doesn't make a difference because as long as the tail can move, its all good.  I really like this grub compared to most because of the extra plastic rib like design on the tail, it just has to move water different than other grub tails.  The forward rib design on the body also helps move the water around it differently making it something the fish probably are not use to.  I also sent ya a PM by the way.

I use the zoom fat Albert grub with a .125 or .25 jig head. Good mid summer bait on the lakes and rivers around here. Green pumpkin, black or white in color.
