ok, long ago, I was told this was a no-no, I tried some 10 lb on my setup last summer, it just seemed to spool off when i was casting, you know super loose comming off top of spool, a real hassle. Ok youtubing yesterday and ran across a few vids of Ike and weekend anglers talking about using fluro for spinng, what size and brand do you recommend for a mid size pfluger president. I will be throwing wacky and shakey head; mainly shakey though

8lb Seagur Invizx, use it on all but one spinning rod (the other is for topwater). Spool it tight and use KVD L&L while spooling and the evening before fishing. Have had great luck with it, good knot strength, abrasion resistant, strong, and low vis.

I made the switch to braid for mainline on all my gear and use fluoro, or copoly for a leader.

 

Phenomenal line management, and the sensitivity is excellent.

thats just it, I have the line conditioner but and do try to before ever trip. sometimes i forget, I dont want to forget one day and my line be messed up cause of it.

Spray the night before you go.

I have used 8 lb fluoro on spinning reels for the past 4 years without any line managment issues.  I have used Seagua InvizX (hated it), BPS XPS (solid choice), and Sufix Invisiline Castable (new favorite).

 

Stick with 8 lb and use a line conditioner the night before (and just before you hit the water if possible) and you should be good to go.

Tuf-Line #10 with a fluorocarbon leader. The leader should be tied so that the knot is outside

of the reel, that's about 7' or so.

I use 8lbs InvizX on my spinning reel and have no problems with it. Also treat it with KVD L&L before each outing.

I'm running 6# InvizX for my drop shot set up but if I throw anything else, say a Texas rigged worm I get ridiculous line twist.

I use straight fc on my spinning gear. I know most people don't like the original Vicious fc but I've never had any problems with the 8# test on my spinning reals.

Pretty sure it works just fine.  I use 4 and 6# Tatsu and InvisX on spinning.

I use 6# Cabelas Flouro on one spool and 15# Power Pro braid on another spool.

I just lined some 6lb InvisX on my President in the 30 size. Have fished it a few days with absolutely no problems. Casts well, have had no problem with management, and no breaking problems. 

I use 6-10 pound InvizX on all spinning set ups. I throw every bait/lure there is on them (but top water gets mono).

 

I usually use 6 lbs for weightless senkos & flukes, 8 lbs for light t-rigs & 1/4 oz jigs, 10 lbs for anything 3/8 oz and up.

 

I have 2 presidents, great reels super super smooth! but sometimes the line would jump off. I started to close the bail with my hand and made sure there was no slack before reeling. I also tried to put a little less line when spooling and using KVD line & lure while spooling. It helped alot.

 

Moving to Shimano spinning reels pretty much ended any problems i had experienced with my Quantums & Pfluegers, especially line twists that eventually ended up turning into knots (the worst problem!!)
