Your Most Notable Streak?

Featured Replies

Earlier this year, a couple in Britain celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary. Not only have they tolerated each other for 75 years, they haven't spent a day apart since World War II. Yea, I know that speaks to their profound love for each other, but I just find it creepy.

Anyway, today we're talking about streaks, whether they're good or bad. Maybe you've been married to the same person for 20 years or maybe you've been married 20 times. Maybe you've never missed a day of work or maybe you've never worked a full day.

PROUD OR NOT, WHAT'S YOUR MOST NOTABLE PERSONAL STREAK?

I once went a whole week without ticking my wife off  :eyebrows:

I drove on Midlothian Turnpike in Chesterfield County, Virginia and made all green lights.

There are over 15 traffic lights in the area I drove and all were green for me.

Never has happened before and probably never will happen again.

Caught 13 fish on 13 consecutive casts while flyfishing for bass.....unfortunately only 2 were bass and the rest sunnies but it was still cool.

Well I thought it was just going to be gas... apparently not...   :eyebrows:

It was one of the big search and destroy games it wa years ago to I haven't played in forever.

The good: I once found a tree that had been drug offshore for structure and was loaded with bass.  It produced 19 bass in 19 consecutive casts!  They were all between 1.5 and 2.5 pounds.

The bad: Over a period of 3 fishing trips I spend a total of 18 hours without catching a fish.  During that streak, I made lost one about every way possible.

My buddy had three days in a row where his first fish of the day was a 6lb+ smallie.

I made it 400 days without a cigarette. Then caved in two days later. :(

I have currently gone 3 months without playing a video game.

I went 389 days and caught at least a bass every day. Im pretty certain at least a quarter of them were duplicate catches.

I went ten straight days only rocking a kilt.

I once went 12 days without sobering up. College was fun.

I went 6 days without eating solid food. Umbilical hernia surgery.

I prestiged on Call of Duty MW2 only getting knife kills. Can't no one top that!

My favorite streak...... it's been almost fours years since having a kidney stone. Oh, and I've gone 22 years without getting shot which is nice.

Almost 2 years without a cigarette. Have to be honest though, I do still have the craving but I take it one day at a time. Also celebrating our 20th anniversary this year.

Ohhhhhhh....here's another. Quit chewing tobacco about eight years ago when daughter got mouth cancer and asked me to quit. First seven years I think I thought about it almost every day. NOW.....it's cool...it's gone...I'm done.

It was saltwater but I went 20 casts in a row and caught a speckled trout ranging in size from 14-18". Fun for sure.

I think I got skunked 6 fishing trips in a row back in the Winter.

My buddies partner got shot not long ago, hit him square in the vest thankfully but left a really pretty bruise he said. The turd who shot him wasn't so lucky as my buddy is a competitive shooter. Still, even from less than 15 yards the stress caused him to miss 3 of the 18 shots he took.

Or the time the homeowner was asked why he'd shot the intruder 6 times and he replied, "That's all the bullets my gun held."

I have gone 30 years without forgetting my wife's birthday.  Mine is on the same day.  However I do have to write down our anniversary.

Three and a half years without a warning point. :respect-059:

lmao, good one

I'd have to say 21 years with UPS which would also be the same time I met my best friend and fishing partner.  We started there the same week, working across from each other and one day it began...."oh,...you fish?"  Simple words that spawned a 21 yr alliance/competition

He still wont throw swimbaits so.....I win,lol

This is a fine example of how much more "fishing" is than just chucking a line and hooking a critter.  We started off as guys who now had an extra dude to call when there was an empty seat.  Then I turned him onto my lake.  We fished it for 20 yrs straight.   Through these years we discussed marriages, kids, personal struggles, you name it.  LOTS of hours together in a boat.  I can say with confidence that we view each other as brothers now.  Weve proven ourselves to each other time and time again and always come out better in the end, and back in the boat doing what we do.  He bought a palace on this same lake this year.  It just gets better. :-)

Cool thread, I'm kinda glad mine was naturally associated with fishing.......

I caught 2 bass on a GY senko without using an O-ring and without it being rendered unfishable.  I was dumbfounded!
