Very realistic bait. I have had better luck on them in the spring around bed fish. Buy the hard gill. I think its a better summer bait.

i agree, get the hardgill..It swims Very well..I like the slowsink, but the floater is a killer when dead sticked..

Absolutely yes.

Mattlures baits are in the top three of all my confidence baits, specifically the Hardgill.

he makes very high quality baits!

From what I've heard the Ultimate Bluegill is better as a bed bait than at swimming, while the original seems better for most swimming purposes. Hope this helps :D

Matt will probably chime in later but I also think the ultimate bluegill is better for bed fishing. The only difference is it has fins and it falls different. Get the regular mattlures bluegill for swimming.

I know you fish from the bank, so that is understandable.

While on a boat, a good plug knocker will pay for itself the first time out.

If that doesn't work, 60 bucks is worth a quick swim.
