Best Trailer For A Flipping Jig

Featured Replies

I've had a lot of success throwing jigs and my trailers have changed between a zoom ultravibe speed craw and a netbait paca craw. The paca has great action but no durability, and the speed craw has good action and durability but I feel it's action could've better. Any suggestions for a different trailer on flipping jigs

hard to beat the rage craw, IMO

many people use the rage chunk, but I always get the full rage craw and bite it down to chunk size if needed.....saves room as I only need 1 box instead of 2.

there are MANY MANY good trailers out there and hard to pick a bad one nowadays

Another vote for the Rage Chunk or Craw depending on how big of a profile you want the bait to have!

I agree with you regarding using the full size craws to save space, I do that as well.  I also like the Zoom Super Speed Claws.  They are bigger than the Ultra Vibe.  I also use the Zoom Super Chunks and Super Chunk Jr's.  When I do use a chunk I like to thread it on instead of just hooking through it.

Zoom twin tailed grub work really well for me.

Rage Lobster, Smokin' Rooster, Rage Hawg and MegaStrike MegaBug

Rage Craw is my go to.

Another thing I have done is cut a brush hog in half and use the tail end as a chunk. I caught an 10.5 lb bass with a brush hog trailer on a jig. I use the big ones as well.

You can use almost anything. I bite down things I've used as a Texas rig and use them as a trailer so my assortment varies widely lol

Rage craws have a place in my tackle bag for good probably, but I am a fan of the Paca Craws as well. Downside of them was the hollow body made them weak, and tore easily.

Now, they have the Paca Punch Craw. A flat, solid body with the Paca action. Yes please!

Net Bait Paca or Yama double tail here.

I'm a paca chunk fisherman as well. They come in different sizes which I think is a plus.

Rage Craw, Lobster, Chunk, Space Monkey, Baby Craw, Menace, or Single Tail Grub.

Rage chunk or rage craw i used to just bite off a section of the rage craws but i like the chunks pretty good now.

4 inch senko... Can be deadly on a jig at times.

I like the Rage Craw as well but there are some good bait's that people never talk about on this forum. I use the D&M flipping craw in the 3.5in. verison. I also like Bruiser bait's avenger in the 3.5in version. These bait's aren't as well known as the Rage Craw but they do produce and in some cases better than the Rage craw. I use these bait's when a bigger profile is called for and I use Rage craw's when a smaller more slimmed down profile is needed.

Rage Craw, Rage Chunk, Paca Chunks in all sizes, Missile Baits Twin Turbo, Zoom Fat Albert, Zoom UV Speed craw, Zoom Critter Craw, Chompers twin tail grub, LOL there's so many good trailers out there.

I have Rage craws on ALL my jigs, flipping, swimming, or casting it has always produced for me. I have tried other trailers in the past and get bit, but overall I see a huge increase in interest with Rage craws.
