Well mother nature has rained on our parade. Trip cancelled because of the hurricane reforming on the west coast. Three very unhappy fisherman.

With the country of Mexico looking like this, the weather has gotten the best of us. But never fear, we will be back. And hopefully soon!

Ironically enough, the tropical storm sitting over Baccarac right now and the best guide in Mexico are both named Manuel. Hopefully next time, the only Manuel on the lake will be the guide!

d**n guys, I was looking forward to another story :(

You were looking forward to reading one and we were looking forward to living it and then writing one.

On a positive note - whenever we get back there - that next trip is already paid for.

Wow, guys, I'm really sorry for you. I know how much dreaming and anticipation goes into a trip like this, and that's gotta be a kick in the nuts. At least March is still on, right? Good call on that trip insurance, too, A-Jay.

Yes, trip insurance is always recommended and we all got it. We are still looking to go back down this fall.........stay tuned!

Hurricane Manuel is a Category 1 Hurricane located at 24.8 N, -108.1 W with maximum sustained winds of 75 mph, gusting to 90 mph.

Turned back into the mainland right where were headed.   Hope everyone down there is safe!

Oh good.  For a minute, I was concerned that you wouldn't have completed the pre-fishing in preparation for March :eyebrows:

I'm feeling really bad we couldn't prefish for you Chris. Thank goodness March is NOT in the hurricane season.

I saw a post hurricane pic on another forum of Lake Guerrero. Probably a good thing you didn't go.

Contact 00 mod (Jeff) he'll set you up.

There's a trip scheduled for March 2014 and there are several BR members going.

I just made a relatively large purchase (new bass boat). Don't think I could get the wife on board... yet.

But someday I'll get down there with you all. Count on it.
