Hello everyone,

I'm Branden. I'm from the little town of Ellinwood. I've been fishing most of my life. Dad took me to Lake Wilson almost every weekend growing up. I kind of got away from fishing the 4 years I spent in the Marine Corps, but I'm back at it now. Especially since I got a kayak for my birthday last weekend. I fish mainly cheap stuff for the time being. Mostly Daiwa and Quantum stuff. Looking forward to getting some new tips and mingling with all the other anglers on here.

Hi Branden,

My fiancée is from Stafford KS so I'm down in that area quite a bit. Wilson is a pretty good lake, I've had good luck with stripers there.

I've been going down to Pratt State fishing lake when I'm down that way.

Welcome to Bass resource!

Short drive south! Thanks for the welcome. I've never fished Pratt SFL. I have fished Kingman SFL though! If you ever do, take some wire leaders. Northern Pike. It's a lot of fun

Welcome aboard!

I had heard Kingman was drained recently to get rid of carp. Is it still a good fishing spot?

As far as I know it's still an excellent spot. Was there just last weekend.

Welcome, lots of Kansas members here look for the kc threads and we are having a get together at Wabunsee in October.

If you can't find the threads send me a pm.

Greetings Branden and Welcome :)

Welcome to BR.  I'm probably one of the closest to you.

I haven't hit Kingman this year.  Been waiting as long as possible to let some of those fingerlings get a little size on them.  but I have caught some bigger fish from there.  No pike, just Bass.

Welcome Branden from Wise, VA
