Chronarch200's

Featured Replies

Just got two of these. guy practically gave emm to me. how do you like these compared to you're other reels?

I have been using the 201e7 on my flipping rod for about a month or so now and I am very impressed. As soon as I used it i knew I needed more! Easily my best reel but not my most expensive which is always a plus. As soon as I can I'm replacing my current spinnerbait reel and cranking reel with some new chronarchs.

They're junk, send them to me and I'll dispose of them for you, I'll even pay shipping  :eyebrows:  Take care of them and you'll have a couple solid reels for years down the road.

I have the 200e7 with Boca Bearings in it and I love mine.  Casting and smoothness is unbelievable.

Chronarch are some of the finest reels you can ever own no matter what series they belong too.

The Boca's were about $35 I believe.  Money well spent

did they really have a major impact on distance or was it more for the smoothness of the cast?

You won't be disappointed I have never had a problem with any of my 5 Shimano reels.

It was a good increase on casting and smoothness.  Like Crankenstein said, you may need to increase your brake setting bc it is a big difference.

watch the YouTube videos of the before an after on the installation and check out the difference

Boca Bearings are a pretty solid rip off, you might get 10 yards, you have to set your brakes higher, and you deal with the finicky behavior, I can set my reels with 2 centri brakes and absolutely sling a lure, but it has to be something like a jig with a small trailer, smaller with weight.

Plus they make the reel a bit louder, my 200E might get Boca's this winter just because it has some age to it now, but my brand new 50e will not.

I think you should keep the chronarchs. They really are great reels. What baitcasting reels are you using at the moment?

At the moment i have 3 abu pro max they're my work horses but i have a few black max and a silvermax. Two abu c3 reels an okuma helios and a revo s gen 2... see a pattern? Lol

i just got a 200E7 and its so smooth. i dont think i need boco bearings it cast a senko t rigged with a 3/8 very far. smooth retrieve and i already caught a 2 pounder with it. i paid 162 for mine in the box new. they retail at 199.99
