Favorite Fall (Season) Lure

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I live in northern WI. Temps are already starting to drop. I was wondering what your favorite fall lure/bait is. I primarily fish from shore.

I am wondering for your go to lure as water temps drop for September, October, and into November?

Thanks in advance

Topwater. I just started fishing swimbaits this year and can't wait I catch some big ones. This time in the year the big ones come out to play. I used to throw frogs, and spooks. But this year, only 8-10 swimbaits. With the bigger presence and the amount over water they move, if you pull that in front of a bass's face, they're hitting it. It's what they are going I do. No question. This is the time that the bass are starting too eat everything.

For shore fishing in the fall it's pretty tough to beat a spinnerbait or rattle trap.

I've always had the best of luck about mid November throwing a Bomber 6A in Red Craw Fish. That color on my home lake has landed some of the biggest LM and Wiper I have ever caught. My PB of 5.8 pounds LM and 18.4 pounds wiper have both came off the same lure a week apart.

Next to that, an Insanity Black Series jig from North Star and Candy Craw Rage Craw

Rat-l-traps around weeds, or wood.

My two favorites are a jerkbait and a lipless crank. These seem to produce the most fish for me and I also fish from the shore the majority of the time.

I was hammering them on a chartreuse 1/4 oz rooster tail last night.

Swimbaits swimbaits swimbaits swimbaits and i almost forgot swimbaits. ill also throw a spinnerbait and a squarebill

Tubes and Jigs.

i Use mostly swimbaits and swimjigs.
