Doug Hannon Q&a With BassResource.com

Featured Replies

I remember some years ago when Dough Hannon used to post on the forums there were Q&A segments where Doug would interact with some of the BR members answering questions about their home lakes etc.

Are these topic threads still available? Id like to go back and read some if possible.

Mike

If i remember correctly I have seen these threads before. Sometimes i go to the general bass fishing section and choose a random page (usually between 200 and 300) and start reading. However, I just searched for a few minutes and cant find the thread. Hopefully somebody else can post a link to it.

the thread does not lead to any material Doug posted A-Jay. I agree here, would love to see Glenn pitch in and find that for us all.

Have you tried going through google to get to those results? I ran into a few links that didn't appear to be indexed here that google was able to get me to.

I dont know why someone would remove it :( A lot of great answers with knowledge from a guy who spent his life studying and chasing big bass. Oh well.

That section was removed over 6 years ago.  Nobody was viewing it, and nobody said anything when it went away. Not sure why it's being questioned now.

I wasnt here 6 years ago and probably neither alot of folks.  Since Doug past away this summer, that section would be invaluable to many to be able to view those if its possible :)

So just to be clear - it was on an old forum system, removed before the migration to the new system. Ergo, it's gone. Sorry.

No way to even extract/export those threads into a textfile somehow?

My apologies, I didn't mean articles specific to this case.  At any rate, it seems that what Glenn may be saying is those were housed in another environment (perhaps even a completely different host) and may be lost.

They were in a different forum category, on a different software platform, possibly residing on a different server.  Since the forum was removed due to inactivity, and some time later, the forum was migrated to a new software platform, those old posts are gone.

Microfilm (rolls) and fiche (sheets) are still used in the banking industry.  Much of the existing media has been digitally converted.

Figures. Stupid bankers.
