Brings up a question....what is the 'shelf life' of plastics like your rage tails?  I was in at Gander last Monday and about 1/3 of their soft plastics were marked way down, wondered if that would have something to do with it (Rage products were not part of this).  Could easily be something like discontinuing those brand lines or whatever.....just wondering as this was the first year I got into soft plastics as trailers at all (or t-rigged), and mine are ziploc baggied away for the winter.

I can't speak for the other brands, but I've had Rage Tail products in my tackle bag for several years with no deterioration whatsoever.

Gander and Dicks do in store discounts like this all the time. Why, I don't know, but I do not believe shelf life has anything to do with it. Might just be slow selling upc's

Several years? You need to fish more.

I've never had plastics go bad due to shelf life.  In any brand.  The only time I've ever ruined any is by having them melt to something else plastic or the ol oops I mixed elaztec and plastics when they first came out.

 

I have some plastics that are pretty old.

 

I think a lot of the store clearances has to do with end of the year inventory counting and taxes.

I've got some red sliders that I found that have to be 20 years old.  They were left in a bag that didn't zip too.  Look almost new.  May not be true for every brand, but I've got zoom and slider stuff that's getting close to decades old.

Green pumpkin, black blue, bama bug are good choices imo

I'm all about plain pumpkin (pumpkinseed) or motoroil worms/flukes/subwoofers and PBJ color jigs for swimming.

Sorry about that.  I do not have that color at this time.  I definitely will have some on the next order.    I only have it in the DB and Baby.  They must have just added it to the Rage Craw.

They've had it a couple years. Oh well...

I'll check with SK of why its not on my list.  All I show is Amber Bama Craw in the Rage craw.
